Silly Ethan and Silly Grandpa Bob.......
Grandpa Bob and Connie came up this week for a couple of days so that Brad could go back to Mankato and get lots of work done. While Brad was busy with work, cleaning up from moving, scooping snow and doing laundry, Ethan and Grandpa Bob spent the days being silly together. Ethan is known in his nursery as being a little Houdini! He loves to pull out his feeding tube and make the nurses put it back in. They have tried almost everything to keep him from getting his little fingers in the cm space between the tape and his nose. Silly boy! The picture below shows their most recent attempt- socks on his hand to act as mittens. He loves putting his hands in his face, sucking on his fingers, and rubbing his head, so needless to say after 1 day the mittens are not effective anymore. He could get one off and then use his other hand to help get the other one off. He did keep his tube in ALL day today. So, maybe he is learning that putting that tube back in, isn't too fun!
Check out his hat- Grandma Weber brought this up to the hospital and it was Brad's when he was a baby! Pretty Special!Ethan's silliness must come from Grandpa Bob. Grandpa spent his time telling LOTS of stories to Ethan. Below is a picture from when he was talking about Ethan showing pigs. He thinks Ethan will be ready to go by age 3, and should start practicing on Zoie with a stick when he starts walking. He also told Ethan to keep a shelf clear for his trophies, Open Show at Clay County Fair here we come!
Then came the book reading. Of course he had to ad-lib throughout the story. We all got the chuckles when he was comparing the teacher in the book to me(before I had laser eye surgery)! Hopefully you can hear the video, we thought it was pretty funny. Thanks for all the stories, Grandpa!

How very special! Wish we would have had cool recording devices when my kids were little. Glad to hear how well Ethan is doing. Can't wait to meet the little guy. He is adorable!!!!
Love that! We read Brown Bear at least 10 times a day! It is Luke's favorite. You are so lucky to have your family helping you through this crazy time!
He certainly has a family that loves him:o) I just cried through that whole thing. I hope he's able to come home soon! Hang in there Wendy:o)
