Weekend full of love from Grandma Lori......
So, my mom finally was able to hold Ethan! She had been dying at home waiting to get up here again to see and hold Ethan. Here are the precious first hold video of Ethan meeting Grandma Lori!

Full of love!
Ethan continues to gain weight each day. He gained another 40 grams yesterday putting him OVER his birth weight!! You should have seen how proud Dad was to hear that today! The doctors today said his eye exam is on Feb. 16 and as long as everything continues to go well, he will be able to get transferred to Mankato's hospital soon after.

Ethan is nursing twice a day now. The nurses said we aren't worried about volume, but just giving him practice with the suck, swallow, breath concept. His last feeding he took 6mL! I am so proud of his accomplishments so far. He amazes us everyday with his strength and courage!

As for my courage, I have been trying to peel myself away from the hospital every once in awhile. Last week I took a cab to Target to get a few items and register for some things, but had an emotional breakdown when I thought I lost my cell phone and I would be stranded at Target with leaky, you know whats, and from my love Ethan. Dumped my entire purse out, in the middle of the aisle while crying. Not a great start. Then I went this week with my dad to pick out a rocker at Baby on Grand- 5 miles away and was better. Today my mom and I went to Target and to lunch this afternoon. It was the longest I have been gone- 3 hours- and VERY anxious to get back!! When I am the one telling my mom to stop dinking around, you know it's bad. But, how could you leave this precious little guy!?!
Here is a video of our routine before Ethan's feedings. Every three hours we change his diaper and take his temperature.

Brad and I want to thank everyone for ALL the encouragement, support, and prayers that have been sent our way through emails, phone calls, gifts, blog comment postings, etc. We are TRULY BLESSED to have such an amazing friends and family! In between Ethan's feedings we go straight to our computers or phones to check voicemails, emails, and postings. It really helps us stay strong- so THANK YOU!!

That is funny Wendy! Before you know it, Ethan will be the one crying (or screaming) in Target.
