Splish Splash, I'm taking my first bath!

Wow, were we shocked tonight we went went in for Ethan's 11:00pm feeding!

1. They told us he was pulling at his IV they had in his scalp so, Nurse Amy called the doctor and the doctor said to increase his feeding and take his IV's off. He was just get extra nutrition (super small amount) and the increase in feedings will make up for it. So, Ethan is CORD FREE. All he has is a feeding tube through his nose and the little monitors to monitor breathing and heartbeat!! AND they took him off the lights!

2. Nurse Amy said it was time for Ethan's first bath!! She let Brad and I do it completely by ourselves and just gave us hints and advice as we did it! First we washed his hair. He loved that. No crying at all!! Here is short video of it. I hope you don't get sick of all these videos but I am addicted to the little FLIP video we are borrowing from Neil and Jaci since, I can't find my
camera!!

Here is the real bath. He seemed to like it pretty good. I told him he needs to be a fish because every summer we are going to the pool ALL the time, that's my favorite thing to do on a sunny summer day! He censored this picture pretty well!!

3. Then we got to dress him on our own. Grandma Lori went out and bought him this outfit when they told us earlier that he could get dressed. It's the cutest little monkey outfit. It's really not too big on him, I was surprised.
4. Lastly, holding him while he took his feeding through his nose tube. He likes to hold hands with Brad ALL the time. It's pretty darn cute if I say so myself! He also sucks on his paci or now he has discovered his fingers while he is feeding. This is a step closer to the "suck, swallow, and breath" condition he needs in order to start feeding from me directly. This might be my new favorite picture!

Good Night Ethan, WE LOVE YOU!

Thanks Nurse Sarah, you are now our new favorite nurse!! Actually, ALL his nurses are SO good. It is so neat to see that EVERYONE single one show us that they just LOVE their job. They all just rave about how adorable Ethan is, so that is fun to hear all the time!
