Happy 4th Birthday, Ethan

In preparing for Ethan's 4th birthday, Ethan was torn between a Buzz Lightyear or Woody birthday party. So, what do you? Make it a Buzz AND Woody party! It was fun planning with Ethan. He came and picked out stuff at Card Party, and the big purchase was the Buzz costume and Woody hat. He helped pick out the menu, too!!!

He helped make his Ethan water
AND Chef Ethan made the Chili!

Maybe he will take over being the house chef. That would be great!

The blizzard conditions prevented Melissa and Kelby from coming so bummed about that! We had a great time with the small crowd anyways!! Papa Butcher and Connie ventured up on Saturday and arrived in time for the ISU game.
Birthday boy was sleeping so Luke got all the attention first!
Grandpa Butcher watching the game with the boys.

Getting Luke to walk
 BUZZ LIGHTYEAR TO THE RESCUE!
Sunday was party day. Grandma Lori and Frank came up Sunday morning.
Papa Butcher made up the birthday game. Shoot the targets at the door. The one who is the closest to the center wins!

mom was the winner believe it or not
Ethan by his cake that he picked out at Hy-Vee.
Here was the menu....
 Jesse's Sweet Trail
 Slinky Dog SLinky fries
 Rex Herbivore Veggie Tray
 Woody's Roundup Chili
 Buzz Fruit Rockets

And dad's favorite, Get Buzzed at the Lightyear bar!

We had plenty of hats at this party. Party hats all around!

Frank and Luke supporting their hats!

Ethan decided that he didn't want to spill on BUZZ, so he wore his Woody hat while eating.

 Such a happy birthday boy!
I serious feel like we JUST took this same picture when he was turning one! Where has the time gone?!?!?!
 The gifts....
 Card games
 Books

The dozer Luke coming in to open some too.
The whole family trying to open Buzz Lightyear
 Buzz with Buzz
Grandma and Frank (grandma just had eye surgery and didn't want to scare Ethan was her SUPER bruised eyes, so she wore sunglasses the whole time).

 Luke in a box
 Iowa State jacket
Grandpa and Connie with Olaf- from Frozen. Of course grandpa is being silly pretending to eat the Mickey ice cream cone.

He got hooked up with LOTS of food for his restaurant/grocery store from Aunt Katie!
Playing SpiderMan bingo with Frank and Grandma.

Actual Birthday night......
Dino's Pizzera. Ethan got his own dough to play with.
Luke loved it. A paper table cloth to crinkle
Birthday kids get to make their own ice cream sundae

 So yummy!

The fun continued at Daycare and Preschool, too!

Of course I cannot believe he is FOUR! Thanks to everyone to helped make Ethan's birthday special. He got phone calls and gifts in the mail that made him feel super special as well!!!
We had a great birthday and are excited to see what year 4 brings us! We love our Buzz "to INFINITY AND BEYOND!"
*When we do our 4 year check-up I'll post more of what this guy is doing at 4 years old!
