Polar Vortex survivors!

The last week of January we had something called a Polar Vortex- which basically made our weather colder than Antartica- no joke! It was record breaking cold! We had a snow storm the day before so no school and then school was cancelled the next 3 days due to forecasted temps! -60 I think was the coldest temp recorded during those days! Crazy! (and as I write this 3 weeks later we have yet another snow day!)
During that time Luke decided he wanted a job. We talked about how he has to do his own business as he is not old enough to go to a job yet. So here is what he came up with....
Luker the Scooper. $2 I will scoop your deck.

off to a job site

He had raving reviews from his 3 customers and made 13 bucks. He gave his tips to his Jump Rope for Heart fund!

We celebrated Megan Fitzloff's birthday. Luke's best buddy Jack's mom.

Goofballs.

Lots of snuggles with Garrett

Smiles after his surgery!

Feb. is I love to Read Month. Luke had to take a picture of where he loves to read the most...in his bed!

Garrett really starting to enjoy his bath time!

Another great perk of being home is being able to volunteer at the boys' school!I got to go on a field trip with Ethan to the Chrildren's Museum. Weird going on that trip as usually I am the teacher in charge. This time I got to just hang out and help!

Designing something new for the museum with Kipton!

The Polar Vortex is gone and we survived...I sure hope the mosquitos didn't!
