Happy Halloween

First, I had the BEST gift ever...Aunt Ronda came to spend 5 nights with us! It was the BEST...she cooked, cleaned, washed baby clothes, volunteered in the boys classrooms, grocery shopped, moved Luke's room into Brad's old office, stocked up my freezer with meals and so much more! I honestly can't thank her enough. It was just what I needed...was started to get nervous the baby was going to get here and I wouldn't have anything done or ready. I was able to come home at night not cook or clean and just relax. Brad was gone overnight that week for a night so it was good to have some piece of mind that I wasn't alone! Fun to have her here for Halloween, too!

The weekend before we carved pumpkins. I have to admit I didn't really know there were kits to make this carving thing so detailed. I honestly thought people were just WAY more talented than me at carving. Growing up and every year until now, we had 3 options...square, circle, or triangled shaped features for eyes, noses, and mouths. haha..
So we bought a kit and it was awesome!

Also, Brad and I attended the annual neighborhood halloween party. We had lame costumes as we didn't know if we would make it as Brad went to the ISU that day and didn't know if he would be up for going to the party late. We made an appearance. Didn't stay long, but fun to see and vote on the costumes.

The night of Halloween we actually had a REALLY NICE night! It's been a long time we haven't had to wear our winter coats under our costumes!
We had a mummy and Kilo Ren from Star Wars. I have know clue who that is, but Ethan and dad did!

They really got into their "characters" during this photo shoot!

Ethan's pumpkin...scary face.

Luke showing that he is mummy not a scarecrow.

Luke by his pumpkin... a cat.

Was the first time I was home handing out candy to my own kids and kids in the hood. Brad took the kids around with all the neighbors. He even took them over to the famous Myan Way hood to the "scary decorated houses" where they go all out!

Our fancy pumpkins!

Ethan's loot. He loves to sort it all out and see what he has the most of!
One bad thing from Ronda's trip...I never get enough pics! Seriously these are the only 2 pics I got!
She even had "homework" she did for Luke's teacher. Sat and cute out a bunch of things in between trick or treaters!
Again so grateful she could help out! She had the boys all day on Friday, too as they didn't have school and I did. All worked out perfectly!
