Forth of July

We headed down to Dysart for the 4th of July. We went to their town celebration when Ethan was 2 so we thought it was time to go back. Dysart does a really nice job of making it a weekend full of events.
Before anything, Brad had to go check out Brian's plot! Of course the boys were up for a gator ride, too!

Papa and grandma put together a nicely decorated wagon for the boys to ride Friday night in the kiddie parade! So nice of them!
Luke for mayor. Haha. Happy Birthday America.

They even put some nice signage on it!

They  walk  a few blocks to the park and then there are activities in the park.

Luke found the choo choo train roller coaster right away!

Hands up!

I decided to enter Friday night to run Saturday morning in the Firecracker 5k!
It was a nice easy flat course and I took home a trophy! Got first place for the girls, was fun! Brad came to cheer me on. It was short and back almost before the boys were even awake!
Then Brian invited the boys to ride in the parade on his Pioneer entry. It ended up a family ordeal with us all riding. I was impressed with Deb's driving skills! Ethan sat in the back with the girls and Brian throwing candy and Brad, Luke and I sat up with Deb. Luke liked waving at all the people and saying Happy 4th of July.

The clan at the park after the parade. Color coordinated is usually not our thing, but how can you not where red, white, and blue on the 4th?!
Cousin Alexa doing what she does best, playing with my kids in the most caring, helpful way!
We spent a few hours doing some rides, playing in the park, trying to win on the cake walk, and brad catching up with old friends.
Back to the farm for more gator rides!

Grandma gave Luke a pinwheel and papa taught him how to use it.
Missing the Dreilings but still got a cute cousin picture with grandma's beautiful flowers in the background. Her gardens are amazing!!
There was a scare with Lillian and Kathy spent the rest of the day with her in the hospital, but papa took us to town for the fireworks. We had great seats, perfect in fact!
Luke was a bit scared and cuddle up.
Sunday we took some great photos with grandma In her beautiful flower gardens after picking raspberries and fresh produce from her vegetable garden! Yum.
Isn't it like straight out of a magazine?!?
Grandma's Breast Cancer garden pink and purple with rocks for each grandchild.

The gazing ball!

Hoasta  garden

Ethan even got to get up in Brian's sprayer!
Tractor rides with papa are a must!
Pinwheel and all, he feel asleep like this a few minutes into the ride home. A great time at the farm celebrating America's Indepence!! Thanks for everything grandma and Papa!
