All Things June (well some of them)

Oh. My. Goodness. How is June over???? Fastest month ever! Here are a few things the Weber boys have been doing during their days at home with mom this month.

Songs on the Lawn with neighbor friends! So, the Quints have 3 adorable girls. Laundry and Ethan get along so well. I thought I would take a quick photo and this is what my crazy boys did....
Not sure if I will ever know what a calm quiet girl really means. For now, I will continue to enjoy every moment with my crazy boys:)

 A bit better

 Love his buck teeth!
 More wild, more crazy

Outside water fun!

Slip and Slide!!!
Luke's Turn
The second time we busted out the slip and slide it completely killed a huge patch of grass right in the front yard! Oops! Still so fun though!

Ice Cream part of the daily summer diet....
The boys wanted to make their own ice cream truck and sell our ice cream cones to the neighbors.

Bike Rides....
Luke loves his little Strider bike and is quiet the dare devil on it. The hardest part is to get him to wear his helmet. Ethan was always Mr. Safety, so I am learning how to handle kids who don't love to be safe.
feet up "Down the BIG hill mom" Is what he says when we get the bike out.

We also have enjoyed quiet a few family bike rides. We have some options. Sometimes Ethan rides his big bike with training wheels, dad is solo, and I have Luke in the bike trailer. Other times (longer rides) Ethan uses the Free Loader and rides behind Brad. Most destinations end in ice cream store visits to Cold Stone, but our farthest adventure this month was to the Rapidan Dam. It was about 7.5 miles out there on a nice trail. They have an OLD store/resturaunt that is famous for their Dam Pies. So, of course our focus was to ride out for some pie and ice cream! It was a success. Luke slept on the ride home which made for a quiet ride home.

The beautiful Red Jacket Trail
The boys thought it was cool because it was like a tunnel of trees!

Dad is playing slow pitch softball this summer and the boys like going to watch his games on Monday nights.

T-Ball!!  Well, we have officially started the organized sport scene! Hard to believe that my life is to the point where it will be over taken with sports, but I will love and embrace every moment! Here are some pictures from his first game of the year.

Big Hits!
Grandma Lori and Frank came up for his second game. His team is still learning..... An hour is a bit long for all involved, including the kids. Ethan does well though, hasn't been hit in the head by a ball, or been caught picking flowers. He is not a majorly competitive boy yet, seems to take it all in and likes playing.
A video of Ethan hitting.

Ethan's cheering squad!
Grandma and Frank's first sporting event for Mr. Ethan! Thanks for making the trip up!!

Luke is a die hard, 'monkey see, monkey do' right now. He copies EVERYTHING ANYONE does. Here he saw grandma stretching before our walk and he had to stretch, too.

Dairy Queen trip in neighbor Rick's fancy car! The boys love our neighbors and visit them out on their deck almost nightly. Rick gives them popsicles on a regular basis, and promised them a ride to get ice cream as their May Day gift. So, this was super fun for them as they have never been in what Luke called a "topless car".

 Off they went
Children's Museum...
Mankato recently opened a brand new Children's Museum. The boys had a great time there for the first time this month. It's hard for me to go on a nice day and then if it is rainy I always feel like there will be too many people, but we finally got there.
Of course Luke found the farm and train station and self occupied himself while his big brother was up in the tree of forts!
This was way cool. Every once in awhile I would yell up for Ethan to show his face so I knew he was okay.

 Rock quarry fun.

Malls always have the latest rage. Now, motorized animals kids can drive around the mall. One day when Luke was at Catherine's Ethan and mom did some shopping and Ethan got to ride them.

We had a week long trip down to Okoboji mid-June, which requires a blog post of it's own. Stay tunned....
