The Most Wonderful time of the Year!

The Christmas season truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
Snowman the elf had some great times with his days off while we were gone.

After getting home from Disney we had just 10 days to get ready for our Christmas travels.
Here is what we did....
Luke's Preschool Concert. He was one happy boy! Center in the blue shirt.
His buddy Tristan and him smiling and waving away!

Laying down his "sweet head"

We weren't sure how his concert was going to go since he missed 2 days of school for our trip and didn't really get to practice much. But he rocked it!

Under the tree lights with our new jammies on!

We went to our neighbors for a cookie decorating party. We LEARNED something NEW about dad- he is the BEST one in the family when it comes to decorating cookies!

This is how Ethan fell asleep one night after our trip- it was such a busy crazy time!

We have an advent calendar and the boys really hold me to the activies it says we are going to do. So, one night we made some treats for our neighbors. Good thing they are cute because they weren't much help towards the end!

And here begins our Christmas craziness-- Thursday morning we facetimed with Aunt Nina before she left for CUBA to go scuba diving. So 7am gift opening to start the day off!

Luke got a sweet Nike Iowa State basketball!
 Happy Boy
Ethan got some fun Star Wars lego guys!

Thursday night we went and walked the Lights at Sibley Park. We always do a drive through and then a night walking.

If you look carefully there are reindeer in those pens.

Luke took this photo in the tunnel.
We then ate supper in our jammies under the tree and did our family gifts.
Ethan made us these great coasters!
The boys got each other some games.

Friday morning we left and headed to our Tour of Christmases in Iowa.
First stop was Great Grandma and Grandpa Hammer
They had some Eagle aprons, books, and a movie for the boys.
Luke thought this saddle was pretty neat!
 Having fun with great grandpa.

Then back in the car to Holstein out to grandpa and Connie's. Great grandma Butcher came along too!
Luke loves babies! He loved holding Charlie. We missed Aunt Rah Rah and Harry. They sent a book they read to the kids. They sat and listened to it.

A surprise .....
 Santa and Mrs. Claus!
Luke patiently waiting for his time with Santa!

Grandpa giving Mrs. Claus a hard time about something!
Great grandma got her Santa hugs in as well!

The yearly under your stocking photo! Missing Reese and Drew! So sad to not have them here this year.

Playing Pie Face Showdown the next morning.

Of course Luke loved it.
Then onto sledding at Ben's. I stayed in where it was warm- but boy oh boy did they have FUN! Luke was all wound up coming back telling us that grandpa fell off the toboggan!

Saturday we headed up to grandma Lori's for Christmas Eve. I have this pic- boys weren't really into pictures I guess.

Then all the gift opening was on video and not a single picture but this adorable one of Charlie the elf!

They played hard and had fun...decided to all sleep with grandma...not sure where she is going to sleep!
They crashed...eventually!

Sunday we headed to great grandma Butcher's for lunch. Saw Aunt Renea, Steve, and my cousin Liz and her family. Of course I was HORRIBLE at getting photos...so none from that! Shoot. It was great talking with them all!

Sunday afternoon we headed to Dysart to grandma and papa Weber's. Jenn and Casey came up from KC and we arrived within minutes of each other. haha.

Luke asking to have ANOTHER one of Jenn's famous cookies! How do I turn down that adorable face!

Grandma wrapped the presents labeled with Reindeer names and the clues were in this book...well, she thought they were. Funny thing not a single Reindeer mentioned. Oh well, it was a good story read by papa!  Good thing she had the real reindeer code saved somewhere!

Ethan got some great gifts! Simon..
ski helmet

 Luke's turn
A tennis racket- he says tennis is his favorite sport, however he has never played, watched anyone play, or even hold a racket before. But, he was excited to get on!
Tennis balls
 This was fun!
 Thank you hugs
Iowa State checkers!
Missing Belle and Lexi.  A great time was had by all!
That wraps up our Christmases! All goes so fast! So blessed to have such amazing families! #blessed
