Disney- one giant post!

Not sure how to sum up an amazing trip to Disney in one post- but after going through over 500 photos and find ones to sort of tell the story I am going to try! Sometimes digital photos make things harder because there are just too many!! Sorry, this blog has too many, but this working mom has to pound this Disney post out today before having to go back to work~
So, if you don't know, it was Grandma Lori's 60th birthday in September and she planned this trip for all 18 of us to go to Disney for 5 nights at the Polynesian! She spent HOURS planning for this and now (again a sideways thanks to technology) it's digital so you are planning fast passes which means what days you are going to what parks, restaurant reservations, etc all in advance. She worked so hard on this trip and it paid off because we all had a blast!

Grandma, Frank, and Ben's and Andrew's family drove up to Minneapolis to fly out with us! We were all over the plane so that was fun.

Luke and mom next to Beau and Ben. I am going to give a real thank you for technology- MOVIES on the back of seat for free makes flying a breeze!

After the flight we boarded the Magical Express first stop- Polynesian!
The Merrill's were there waiting for us!
We checked in as fast as possible and headed straight for the monorail (our 4th means of transportation that day according to Luke). The first ride was BUZZ Light Year- one all 18 of us could go on, including the babies.

Then Ethan could hardly contain himself to ride SPACE MOUNTAIN for the first time ever!
 nervously waiting
All aboard!

To say he loved it is an understatement. I think he rode it a total of more than 7 times with various people! I tried to enlarge the ride photos so the faces are clearer- they are priceless on all these ride photos!

Mom and Frank and Ethan on Space.

Then this big coasters for LUKEY!

Luke's first time on Splash- he LOVED IT> he smiled the whole time. Even on the huge drop!
First time down- can you tell I was nervous and forced his hands down?
Hands up for this one! Drew didn't love these big ones, so we are missing the Merrill's on this boat!

7 Dwarf Mine Train! LOVE the faces in these- guess who has his hands up the WHOLE way-- LUKE!

Night one was a success- at the park from 3pm- 9pm and hit up some big rides~~

Next day back to Magic- it was our only cold day. We then hopped on over to Hollywood studios for the extra magic late hours until midnight!

Reese and Luke- these two are quite the pair!!

So we had 2 double Bob strollers and 2 single strollers- here you can see Ben, Andrew, and Brad carrying the kids on their backs- go figure!

Brad, Luke and I left the park for Luke to take a nap- Ethan went non-stop with grandma and Frank. On our way out it was so DEAD- the photo person snagged us for some photos that turned out awesome! We wished Ethan was in them!

But he was back on Space for about 3 more times!

At Hollywood Ethan found the LARGEST hotdog I have ever seen- it was also covered in chili and cheese. He and grandma were in heaven!

 Muppets 3D
Toy Story Mania- such a great ride! WE did it a few extra times that night!

Ethan's fir ROCK N COASTER experience. He was so nervous (he gets super quiet when nervous)on the bus ride over because we weren't 100% sure he was 48 inches when we left. So going up to the measure stick he was so worried- but he was tall enough!! Off we went!

Brad and Ethan in Front, mom in back.
Again with Ben and Brianna! Same face almost!

Missing the Merrill's in this one. Poor Reesey was at such a hard age, rocking until midnight wouldn't have worked. Those babies just sleep anywhere!

Day 3 Breakfast at Polynesian Village with our shirts on! One of Katie's graphic designers made the shirts. They were so cute!! All 18 people on them!

Party of 18!

Grandma, Pluto, and the boys!
 The whole gang!!!

 Mickey!

Another great one with the boys and grandma!

A little parade and we were off....

to Hollywood Studios, again for some of us!

This army toy soldier came walking down the street. Drew and Luke were obsessed!

So the night before, it was dark and late and Luke was tired. He did not want to ride Tower of Terror. He must have dreamed about it because he literally popped his head up first thing in the morning and said "I am so going on Tower of Terror today!"
You can see him in the back corner- of course with his hands up!

 Jake!

More rockn' coaster for Ethan!!
Mom and Ethan.

Grandma, Frank and Ethan

More Tower of Terror! Aunt Katie got in on this one! Again, Luke with his hands up. When you ask him what his favorite ride was at Disney- he says Tower of Terror. I think he was just so proud of himself that he did it, it became his favorite. Ethan, not so much a fan of it. He and Katie, holding on the handles.

Back to Magic Kingdom at night for the Weber's. Staying at the Polynesian makes it sooo easy to park hop!

Day 4 Epcot- Ethan and Mom woke up early for extra magic hours at Epcot to do Test Track and Soarn' then went back to swim with Brad and Luke. Seriously Ethan was NOT going to miss a single minute at a park- he was the ONE person who put in the longest days there!
Frank and Ethan designed their car!
Frank and Ethan in the front, mom and grandma in the back.
No pool pics- But the LOVED the waterslides and play area!
Back to Epcot for dinner at Japan.
FROZEN! Super popular new ride. We were in the other boat....

With our hands up! haha

The kids loved the Hibachi grill!
We stayed until closing and did Soar'n and Test Track a few more times.

Day 5 Animal Kingdom
Frank got all the kids Cubs shirts to wear one day!
The early risers that went for extra magic hours and hour before the park opened!
Ethan headed straight for the Yetti ride!

Not sure if you can tell from the photo, but these 2 are SOAKED from head to toe from the Rapids ride. I was worried Luke was going to throw a fit, but nope, he turned around and went on it a second time!!

Dinosaur ride.
Brad and Ethan on Yetti

Then finished up one last night at Magic Kingdom!
Luke watching the parade.

What do you do when waiting for your table to be ready at the Crystal Palace...you do exercises. Push ups with your brother on your back!
Push ups by Luke
We had never ate at the Crystal Palace Character buffet. It was nice!
Piglet
Grandma and these babies that ROCKED their first Disney trip!
Reese never wanted to get too close, but she liked looking at them!

Back to splash for about 6 times in a row!

Luke and mom on the cars!

Got some family photos with the castle in back ground.

The WHOLE 18 gang in front of the castle!  We didn't want the fun to end!

A professional photo of what the castle looked like at night! BEAUTIFUL!

Last morning breakfast at Chef Mickeys. Like I said, grandma planned this trip like a PRO!

Love that Reese would take a pic with MINNIE!

The last photo I took...so sad it was over!

Some long delays on the flight home, but we all made it on the same flight and ALL the bags made it too!
I got some precious baby snuggles in though!

Lukey was the lucky guy to go visit the cock-pit!

That's a wrap- Disney 2016- mom said we will go again in 2020!!  We will be patiently waiting.....
Cannot thank Mom and Frank enough for this trip of a lifetime with our families! Memories we will ALL have forever!
