Fall Break Weekend!

We had some very special visitors join us a few weekends ago....Baby Reese, Drew, and Aunt Katie!!! I had Thursday and Friday off and awhile back I mentioned that to Katie and Miss Business Make It Happen, made It happen!! She is one brave women to travel with an infant and 2.5 year old! Love everyone minute spent with these guys!!
Luke absolutely LOVED Reese!! He wanted to hold her so many times and he was such a honey with her! Right when we got there he had his first chance. He even started crying in the car because he could see baby Reese!
We headed outside first thing Drew found was a bat and ball!! This kid is a pro!! Mommy nursing on the porch. Cracks me up that baby Reese is SUCH an easy going kid!
Ready to pick some apples at the neighbors!

I've never really picked apples with a contraption like this!
Drew's turn.
Those cheeks!
Luke's turn
Grandma Lori came up to spend the night with us all. These boys wore her out, or Ethan's reading of the stories out her to sleep! Haha
Friday was the coldest day we had since fall began. Bummer as we planned to do a pumpkin patch. So, we headed to the Children's Museum  for a morning activity to let it warm up a bit.
How's that hat working for you Luke?!?
Drew basically spent the whole morning doing this block drop. He loved it. Carried the blocks up and then watched them crash down.

Angel baby just chilling again!

Fun times.
Katie trying the show drew a new way to get the blocks over there without using the steps.
Luke being mr. Strong guy.
Teamwork.
Packed up into grandma's car  and headed to the pumpkin patch. Good thing Reese just goes with the flow as she was in and out of car seats and carriers all day to keep up with the big kids.
First up...giant slide.
Ethan and Luke zooming down!
How tall???

drew's turn
Lots of rides around on this train

Sure I will bang this stick on these loud bells! Sounds fun!!
Haunted forest. Ethan doesn't like to be scared!
Group shots.

Grandmas little pumpkins
Another stop. Great grandma and grandpa Hammer's. We have them a 10 min warning we were coming.
Off to go tackle Frank!!

Popsicle break with cousins.
Reese better be able to put up with these boys!! Good night snuggles from her guardians. Luke starting crying when we were done because he wanted to hold her! The look on his face was too cute.

Always fit a million things into one weekend so why not a photo shoot, great grandma Butcher's and an ISU football game?!?!? Yes, I'm crazy.
A few action shots from the photo shoot. Cracks me up!! Connie put together a great backdrop/scene on the farm.
Jumping off the bails.
Too cute!!

Miss snuggling this chub! Seriously best baby ever! Hated saying goodbye to them on Saturday. The Merrills stayed to play on the farm Saturday night and the Webers headed to meet dad at the football game.
Some more fun times with grandma Lori.
Luke was enjoying his cotton candy! Pink was Luke's.
While all the fans were up cheering for the Cyclone touchdown and I look down finding Luke shoving Ethan's blue cotton candy in his mouth. What a goof/pig/sneaky kid!

Such a busy fun filled weekend with the Merrill's. Lucky my sister is a brave lady to take these kids on her own to spend time with her Iowa family!! #supermom!!
