45 years of Marriage for J&K

It is hard to believe it has been 5 years since we celebrated the big 4-0 of marriage for John and Kathy. It seems like we were just in Tahoe having a blast. The Weber clan was back together again celebrating 45 years now with a larger group; 2 more grandchild in the mix. We all headed to the Wisconsin Dells! We had a great private house for us all to stay together in at the Kalahari. John and Kathy did their esearch and trials on truly finding the best place to stay there at the Dells.
We were there 5 nights and within the first 1 hour of arriving the kids were all over the outdoor waterpark!
Luke and Jacob became slide riding buddies instantly! It was amazing how independent they were on the slides.

Luke enjoyed dumping this water filled bucket on kids below. What a bully.
They started the first day on the smaller ones and by the end they were running round solo in this massive monsoon!

The house was great to have to come back and eat our meals there. We had LOTS OF CORN! Luke loved the "handle bars"
Silly corn eaters

The next morning went to explore the indoor theme park. This was not your average arcade, this place had LOTS to do!

Indoor Theme Park
Luke, Brad, and Ethan are somewhere up there

Luke and Nina on the carousel.
I have to admit I lied and said Luke was 3 so he could ride the bumper boats. He was a crazy kid on there! He is the one with the red shirt in the corner and the crazy bed head!

Yes, there was go-karts, too! Ethan and dad for a ride.

Later in the week papa Weber went for a ride with Ethan.

Then there was this crazy 3D shooting game?!? I never did it. One day Ethan, Aiden, Michael and Brad had an intense game. Michael was the victor.

Mini golf crew later in the week. See, this indoor theme park had it all!

Sunday and Monday was spent at the water park. Indoor and outdoor. I do not have any photos of the indoor one, but it was HUGE. The adults actually had some pretty fun moments in there. My favorite slides were in there. One that dropped straight down by the floor falling from under you, a "toilet bowl" looking slide where you swirled around and then free falled into a deep pool of water was by far my favorite. It was entertaining to say to least to watch grown ups come out in all different ways from it. There was the head first, feet first, breeched/cradle position, it was a hoot.
Monday John and Kathy rented a cabana outside for us to have as a home base. It was nice to get some drinks and food delivered and Luke even took a nap in there!
He took a couple of naps poolside this trip!
Another fan favorite was the 3:00 cookies! Free cookies in the lobby at 3, mom and Luke never missed.

The Cookie Monster strikes again!

Luke always seemed to befriend whoever was eating. This photo Brian was the lucky one to have the wet Luke eat from his food.
Love this photo of John and his girls!
Luke rocking some sunglasses!
Speaking of rocking, Ethan was a slide master! He went on EVERY SINGLE ride that he was tall enough to go on! It was hard to take photos of him when he was going NONSTOP all day!

He did take some time to cruise the lazy river, though!

8 hours at the waterpark calls for ice cream!! This place had amazing ice cream!
Johh and Kathy with the ice fans!

None left for me this day. Brad and I went down one night when the kids were in bed and enjoyed some without kid slobber all over!

Back at the house the adventures didn't end. So, this house had an elevator. You would have thought it was an amusement park ride. I am not sure if it ever stayed put while the kids were awake. Luke and Jacob loved just riding it. They sat on this bench and went up and down, up and down. It was also the slowest elevator I have ever been on. It took a bit for them to make a round trip. Great entertainment!!
All was good with the elevator until this sweet and innocent boy found an emergency call button. He would push it without anyone knowing and then we would get a call from the front office saying a mechanic was on their way to help in the elevator. Oops! Game over.
Grandma then had to resort to the stroller to contain the little ones.
One night the whole gang headed to the Tommy Bartlett Ski show!
I have realized that when boys take pictures they spread out, girls huddle together all nice and boys claim their space. Makes it hard to get a good photo!
We were there early to do all the photo stops!
Luke and Brooklynn posing at the photo stop.
Then came the treats....
Ethan had his cotton candy!! Everyone else got an ice cream cone. I do believe that Luke had licks off of every single person's cone in the row.

We had some great family photos from Tahoe and the adult kids decided to surprise John and Kathy with Kalahari shirts for photos on morning before headed on the Duck Boats. We all came out wearing them and handed them their shirts. It was a nice surprise.
The Reason for the celebration~45 years!
Their 3 beautiful children

The seven grandchildren

And the whole Weber Gang!

Lexi wanted in on the pipes picture.

This is one of my favorite photos from the trip- Luke was wearing Michael's sun hat. Luke thinks he is pretty cool.

"Mom, I love this ride. No seat belts,  the windows are down, I can put my hands out the window, it rides like a roller coaster down the hills."
WE had the boat to ourselves.
Such great memories were had by all throughout the trip. We cannot thank John and Kathy enough for the amazing trip. More important than the trip, is the example of life long love. Thanks for being incredible role models for your children and grandchildren! Thanks!
Happy 45th John and Kathy!
