Playing restaurant, the boys love to "make" food and deliver to us. Luke decided to wear the tongs one day.
Bathtub and popcorn, yep sometimes battles are not worth fighting at bedtime. Hey, hit two birds with one stone, a bedtime snack and bath at one time. Since this kid takes about 45 min to finally get to sleep at night every minute off the routine saved is a bonus. This just happened one night by the way. Not an everyday habit.
Good road trippers.
Copy cat craziness. Luke copies EVERYTHING that Ethan does. The love these two have for each other is amazing. Ethan plays so well with Luke and Luke tries to keep up step for step with Ethan! Ethan wears a turtle shell, so then Luke will too!
Gymnastics: Luke did one session this winter of gymnastics, too. He did really well and followed the directions way better than I expected.

Beam, not so good. Liked looking around too much.
PRO at jumping off the high stacked mats!
Loved pushing these scooters around 100 miles an hour!
Just waiting his turn with his hand in his pocket. Ha
Race is on!
Loved the bars!
Ethan went at the same time in the big kid class. Here is ready to run down the path to the vault.Preschool: Ethan does preschool everyday in the mornings. This is one of the best things he has brought home... Proud mom! It's still on the fridge, not sure if I will ever take it down.
Valentine's Day surprises:
Went to make pink heart pancakes and realized that I didn't have any red food coloring (I remembered that when Ethan was 2 Katie and I tried using everysingle drop of red food coloring to make a red barn for his cake. It was pink even with an entire couple of bottles- we ended up buying red frosting at the bakery!). So, greenish bluish heart pancakes had to do. OF course the boys don't care. Another example of it's okay that I am not a Pinterest Perfect mom.
Ethan got a turtle towel and Luke got a robot sippy cup.
Luke has the funniest little things he does lately. One is asking a question and squinting his eyes while holding one hand palm up. I have tried sooo many times to get a good photo or video of it and have failed. This is the best I can do to get it captured for the memory.
"No more food??"
Luke also has many nicknames, one being Cookie Monster. He is living proof. Not a good mom story here, but we have been working on potty training. When he goes he gets a m&m and this day we were out so I gave him an oreo, but them back in the cupboard and he sat on the floor and ate it. I went upstairs to get some laundry and we went on with our night. Later after supper I was thinking those oreos sounded like a nice snack for myself and I opened the bag to find this:
YES THAT COOKIE MONSTER LICKED OUT THE CREME OF AN ENTIRE ROW OF COOKIES! Not only did he do that, he got them off the shelf, opened it, ate the creme, put back the cookies, and closed the door leaving no evidence of foul play. #onesmartcookie #cookiemonsterstrikesagain #badmomFarm visit:
Mom and dad had an event in the cities for Pioneer so we met grandpa Butcher and Connie in Okoboji and they took the boys for the weekend. It envolved going to check out Ethan's pig from the Clay County Fair, Olaf. Olaf had BABIES! Which Ethan of course named them after the Ninja Turtles!
Luke and Kelby sneaking a peek.
Grandpa teaching these boys about pigs!
They love visiting rest grandma. Playing with her toys and eating cookies with her. Ethan said "do you think grandma ever runs out of cookies"
Okay, this will be a definet blackmail photo for Luke some day. Luke LOVES the game hide and go seek. The boys play it often and Luke is actually really good. He doesn't give away where he is, Ethan is bad. He just giggles too much!
SO, again, we are working on the potty training. Luke hides around the house and poops in his diaper. He has pooped a few times on the toilet. The other night I left him in the bathroom to go pee and I came back to him hiding behind the curtain, and yes he POOPED-new game, hide and go poopy!
HATS! This adorable boy loves his dad's hats and loves wearing them goofy! This photo was after a BIG ISU win and he asked me to take his photo "show his happiness!"
Bath time Cuteness:
Bad hair almost daily.
These boys and their crazy amount of thick hair that cannot be tamed in the morning even with a water bottle.
"I did it mom" he really is talking up a storm and that a saying I hear quite often.
Luke has the hat obsession as well! Of course.
Endless games of football: Usually resulting in one or both crying, but they keep going back to playing it!
