Luke was pretty excited for Elmo's birthday party ever since the day we went and picked out Elmo cups, Elmo plates, and Elmo napkins. He kept saying these items over and over again since the day we bought them. "Luke Elmo bird-day. Elmo plates, Elmo cups, Elmo nap-ins." He was so excited!
I decided recently that starting now, my children can never choose a theme that items cannot be purchased at the local Party City Store. Yes, that is limited but this mom cannot keep up with the Pinterst Savy moms with ridiculous themes. I tried to keep up with these ultra themed parties and this working mom decided that parties with families don't need food labels for the items, or decked out backdrops. Kudos to those moms than can manage that, but this one cannot. So, sorry Luke, your Elmo plates, Elmo cups, and Elmo napkins from Party City that were so cool to you as a 2 year old will have to be your excitement for years to come! Okay, onto the party!
Papa and grandma Weber came up Saturday afternoon to spend the
day/night with us. Papa, dad, and Ethan went golfing at the driving
range while grandma and Luke played bubbles.

A co-worker who makes cakes made this awesome Elmo cake for Luke. You should have seen his eyes when she delivered it.
Big brother and Luke on his party day!
Ready for cake!
Can we eat it now?
We have an adorable video of Luke trying to blow out his candles. He did not have a clue how to do it. He just shook his head back and forth thinking the wind from the head turning was going to blow them out!
Finishing up lunch and cake
Onto presents.

Great grandma Butcher made a quilt for Luke. He instantly laid down in his sleeping position. It was cute. Then Ethan joined him.
Clothes flying through the air!
Ethan was a great big brother helping Luke open his cards.

Luke has always been a hugger! I told him to go say thank you to everyone and he went around and gave everyone a special hug and kiss! Too precious!

We were so thankful for all the grandparents to make it to his party. No cousins this time, all busy this weekend. It means so much to us to still have family parties even though we are hours away from all our family. It was a short day, but packed with love and memories!
Still cannot believe he is two! This kid is such a happy, busy, thrill seeker, loving boy! Happy Birthday Luke!! We love you!
Onto some 2 year old stats!
Weight- 32 pounds- 90%tile. Still in the 90s but not 99th any more, you are slimming down!
Height- 35 1/4 inches- 80th %tile. Huge height growth this year!
BMI- 84%tile. Big guy!
I have a whole loot of photos and sayings that are Luke's new favorite that I will post soon. He makes us laugh everyday! Such a blessing from God!
