What a blast we have has this summer with these boys! They are just at such fun ages and I swear every couple of weeks they are changing in looks and just growing up right in front of my eyes. I am thankful everyday that I get to have them home with me this summer!
Some things we have been up to in July.
Stroller rides and bike rides!
A favorite stop in the stroller is Cold Stone! Ethan orders anything Blue in color and I have learned that since Luke inherited my love for ice cream he now needs his own, this momma is done sharing/getting three bites!
Being silly...
Luke likes taking selfies after bath time!
Parade time....
I say it all the time, but this kids are so different! Even going to a parade proved it. Ethan waits patiently for the candy then once thrown he somewhat quickly sorts through the ones thrown and ONLY picks up the kind he likes for his bag to eat later. Luke on the other hand grabs the first one he sees and shoves it in his mouth before taking off the wrapper so he can grab 2 more for each hand! It was a hoot watching them both do their own style of candy grabbing.
Playing with friends....
We have spent a lot of time playing with kids in our neighborhood whose moms are also teachers so they are home during the day. Mostly kids on our block so Ethan is a trooper attending and here participating in the many Disney Frozen themed birthdays! Ethan was turned into Oalfe up above. Movie visits. They have Thursday morning movies for cheap and I did one solo with boys and said never again because Luke lasted through the previews only before climbing the stairs and eating popcorn off the floor. But, we went with the neighbors and he entertained himself with the bucket of popcorn for a long time this time. He ate more than his share from this bucket as well!
Where's Luke?!?
Luke's first dentist visit. He watched carefully as brother Ethan got his teeth cleaned and as soon as Ethan climbed up onto the chair Luke did too, not even really waiting his turn. Once Ethan was out Luke was up and ready to go. The dentist is our neighbor so I think it helps the boys like going a bit more. She goes, "well Lukey, most little one years just sit on their mommy's laps but you are such a big boy we will do yours like the big kids do!"
He let her floride his teeth and all!
Then comes the big boy turning mom into a nervous wreck activities.... This is way these boys are WAY different. Cautious Ethan, Fearless Luke!
So Luke is a major problem solver is the nice way to put it. He wants something, he is going to figure out how to get it himself.

No I don't line my house with chairs. Luke moved this big chairs all by himself setting up his own obstacle course. He pulls himself up on the first chair then Weaves his big body under the arm rests until he comes out on top of the deck box! Yes, he has attempted to jump off as well.
Doesn't stop outside....
Here he wanted that picture off the wall for some reason. So, moved the white stool from the kitchen to the bathroom to climb into the toilet kid and then tried to get on top of the toilet to get the picture off. By the way, he is fast in these maneuvers. I can't even pack the dishwasher by the time he has these set up! Thankful we haven't had an ER visit yet! Little MONKEY!!!
Then there is cautious Ethan we jumps for 2 seconds on the neighbors trampoline and comes off calmly not even saying anything happened and look to see an giant goose egg on his eye brow! This dingger lasted a good week!!
Family fun! Frank and grandma Lori came up one weekend for a golf tourny (that they won!) and it happened to be Franks birthday. So of course we had ice cream cake!
And trips to the "farm park" with grandma
Ethan was never excited to go into public with his black eye. Vain kid, hahaha. His face cracks me up here!
Playing outside in the beautiful summer weather we have been blessed with!
Slip and Slide Sunday!
Luke wants to do whatever Ethan does...
