Lake Okoboji Part One

I'm not even sure how to begin this gigantic blog post. I'll do it in a few parts. It's hard to put in writing the amazing time we had in our 2 1/2 week adventure in Okoboji and Holstein! Best part.... The Merrill's were here to join us!! I'll just start with the first pic taken...
HUGS!! These two are reunited for a few weeks and couldn't be happier! Luke is a hugger expert! Wednesday night was filled with them.
Then on Thursday Ethan headed to Bible school and uncle Ronnie was "lucky enough" to experience a display of their songs and Learnings before we took off to Boji!
Well, heading down we learned of BAD storms in the lakes area so we waited them out in WalMart in Fairmont. Drew was loving this department. Lol!!

Our attempt at containing them!

We got back on track and the unpacking began. Humm doesn't surprise me Luke is swinging from the luggage cart!
Dad puts on a very successful 4-H fundraiser golf tourny! Ronnie had never been to a live auction before. The Weber's could drive up the prices and we let the Merrill's do the buying! Haha
Enjoying some drinks after the great day! Rah Rah was here too!!

The waterpark!
Ethan noticed the pool bar on the first day! Learned about kid slushes real quick!
Beau, Luke, and Drew keeping busy in the baby pool!
We compared all the little ones to ants. They were everywhere and quick!
Chill time for Lukers!
Buddies!
Kate and Luke doing a boat stroll.
Off to dinner with great grandma.
Yes, Luke is laughing! Ethan wanted hugs this time!
I wish we would have counted how many times we played ring around they Rosie this trip! Thousands! Babies kept signing "more"
Those drunk ladies in the swim up bar were obsessed with the cuteness of all the boys. Little boys like to flirt!
Boat ride!
One of my favorite pics from the trip! Beau is just a cutie!!

A train full of cousins! All accounted for, All Aboard!!
Luke about have me a heart attack on this ride. He was a WILD man. Wanted to stand up, was not holding on and waved liked he was famous.
He then attempted to unlatch Drew by pulling on that little rope holding them in! Now Katie and Ronnie in cardiac arrest! Haha

Dizzy Dino's! This was Luke's last ride of the day. Momma couldn't handle the craziness!
Big boy Ethan ventured over to the big kid side and did the log ride and number cars!
This is where Luke belonged...with the monkeys!

Loved Maxwells!
No bib. Big no no.
Big boy eating with his spoon!
Wanted to share his macaroni with great grandma!
 The fabulous five Butcher boys!
Throw great grandma Butcher on a photo and now it's perfection!
King of the bed! Happy Boy!

Grandpa snuggles! These two found Cyclone TV and watched reruns at night of football and basketball game. Two peas in a pod!

Dinner at the Doxtads... Kate loves playing with Ethan!
Ethan teaching her how to drive the girl version of a gator!
Tight fit!
Our morning routine, headed to indoor waterpark to tire out the babies for a good nap! This day Luke couldn't wait to get his life jacket on!
So Luke MASTERED the word "crackcar" Cracker Drew?
Oops, a second snack from the floor! Don't look aunt Katie.
This crazy licorice boy swam for almost 12 hours minus his nap time and meals! Waterboy!

Week one came to an end. Off to grandma Lori's......stay tuned!
