A Fabulous Four Year Old

Yes, very late in posting, but we finally had our 4 year check up last week for Ethan. I think back at when he was in the NICU and how I HAD to be there everyday to hear his daily report from the doctors. I still love going to his yearly check-ups to find out his stats! Here they are:
Weight: 34.4 lbs 31%tile
Height 40 inches 37%tile
BMI 14.9 27%tile
When pregnant all the websites would compare your baby in the womb to a vegetable. So, if I describe my children based on a vegetable I basically I have a green bean and then Luke is more like a pork and bean!

His doctor also said they now offer kindergarten shots at four year check-ups and wondered if we wanted to do them. I didn't know what to do and at first I said I would wait, but then Ethan piped in his own opinion, "I like shots!" Dr. Smentek looked at me and said, "let's do them! No kid ever says that!" He can do to the mist for flu shots. So this kid is shot free until 7th grade!! What?!? Crazy!
A little about what he is up to:

We have enjoyed the first month of being 4! Very independent. Yesterday I woke him up and he went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, got completely dressed, coat on and zipped, and boots on ALL BY HIMSELF!

He loves reading and knows all his letters and letter sounds! He even tries sounding out some words. He really enjoys Dr. Suess books right now. Down fall to his love of reading, he completely knows if you skip a page in the book.

He likes reading the numbers on the clock, telling us his address, birthday, and we are working on his phone number.
He is NOT one to like writing or coloring. We practice our name, but basically have to brib him to work on fine motor stuff. #notacraftyone
Does enjoy playing in his Iowa State playroom by himself. Still likes to watch "shows" and plays on the ipad and phones.

He eats just about everything. He puked for the first time ever during Christmas break and so buttered noodles are not his favorite, he always says they will make him puke again.

He says the prayer at dinner every night and knows Our Father and Hail Mary prayer by heart!

We are not going to say he is perfect, we still have some meltdowns about the craziest things, but what I am most proud of is his love he shows his brother and his family! He loves calling people in the car on the way home (sorry for the daily calls Aunt Katie). If no one answers he says, "Why is everyone so busy mom!" followed by a "who are we going to call next, mom?"

Here are some pics and videos of our big man!
Our preacher boy

Always wants to help cook, never lasts the duration, but likes it at the beginning!
Loves his brother Lukey!
Loves the Cyclones and being silly!
Can have an attitude...
We love him to Infinity and Beyond!
