July, where did you go?

After our Chicago trip, I was excited for a slower rest of July with not as much planned. But, I cannot believe how fast it went! Here are some things we were up to the rest of July.

PLAYING TOGETHER!
Ethan constantly says, "I want to play with Lukey." He has named his play mat the "bug collection" because it has bug toys and bug pictures. They could play together all day I think!

These play times turn into giggles most often! I try so hard to get them on video, and here is one of my attempts. Ethan is convinced that all he has to say is, "let's play popcorn" and it will make Luke laugh. I have no clue where that came from, but we hear it several times a day!
Luke is SUCH a giggly baby! We just love making him laugh! Who couldn't laugh hearing Ethan's silly giggle!

Private lessons.
After taking lessons at the Y, I thought Ethan would have fun doing some private lessons to really work on his skills. It is something I wish I could go to the pool and do with him, but with Luke it's impossible to practice with Ethan.

He even went off the diving board!

He took them from a co-worker's son, Jonathan. Ethan loved going and was a trooper when we had some chilly mornings! Jonathan learned he like scooby do, so he brought him an old scooby toy he had. Ethan was so excited he even God Blessed Jonathan that night!

We also had our first ice cream truck experience!
He heard the jingle while riding his bike. It stopped him in his tracks and he waited a LONG time in the front yard for it to come our way!

Enjoying the treat with dad.

riding our bike to the park..
This was a BIG deal because we basically had to bribe him at the beginning of the summer to even get on that bike!

Driving our gator to the neighbors...
Ethan was cruising to the Fitzloff's house on day and when he got close, he sat up super straight with the biggest smile on his face. He was really going to impress those girls! It reminded me of what a 16 year boy going on his first date might look like! YIKES~
They chased and rode around for almost and hour. They did pretty good taking turns and we had lots of "chinese fire drills" with switches!
Two gators, a 4 month, 18 month, 2 yr old, two 3 yr olds, two 5 yr olds, and an 8 year old make for a loud backyard!

Library story time.
Every Monday is story time at the library and afterwards they make a craft that goes with the theme. It gets me off the hook from crafting at home! Win win situation!
A Dino and a mummy were some of our projects! That's his mean Dino face.
Sorry for the undies. Best I could do! You can also see his bummed up knees! First big wipe out at the pool parking lot! We told him football players get ouchies all the time. That ended his constant requests for needing to visit the doctor!

Arnold's Park fun with papa and Connie... (well, this was technically August, but I am in denial that it's August).
Dad went to the Iowa Speedway with Pioneer people and mom and the boys couldn't stay home. So, we made a quick day trip to Okoboji to play at Arnold's Park. I thought it would be good practice for our upcoming DISNEY TRIP!!
Hands up!

He was a wild one! We did this roller coaster a couple of times. By, the end of the day he was doing it with no hands the whole time!

We did every ride! Many multiple times!
Ferris Wheel!
It was a great day! Mom even did the roller coaster by herself to get ready for Disney!

July was fantastic! Love ALL my memories with my boys!
