Well, I missed a 28 week photo but I am actually posting my 29 week photo on the day I am 29 weeks!
Yes, I really do have the same outfit. Too lazy to change just for a picture.
Lots of updates with what's going on with me at 28-29 weeks. Feeling TONS of movement, but also some contractions, which of course make me extremely nervous!!
We had an ultra sound on the 9th (28 weeks) and baby #2 was measuring at 3 pounds. My cervical length was 36, which is normal!
Here is the ultra sound picture we got. Baby's hand rubbing its eyes. The nose, lips, and chin look JUST like Ethan! Kind of crazy!
This week at my appointment I had LOTS going on!
First, I passed my glucose test, the orange drink isn't any better after 3 years, I promise!
Then, I had my weekly progesterone shot so that is 2 'holes' in my body, and why not leave an OB appointment with 3?
I also had a pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus shot. My doctor suggested this as there has been a big outbreak in southern MN of pertussis and with me being a teacher, having a kid in day care, she thought it would be wise to get this. Man did I forget how sore your arm gets after a tetnus shot, it puts my weekly progesterone shot pains to shame!
Also, at this appointment I did another fetal fibronectin test. I HATE waiting that hour for the results, so nerve racking! I did get another negative results which makes feel like I can "live" 2 more weeks, which if you do the math that should get me to 31 weeks. Why is that a big deal? Ethan was born at 30 and I went into labor at 29 weeks. So these next 2 weeks are HUGE in my books!! Deep breath! Stay in there baby #2~ sorry for lame nickname!
Ethan is getting excited for this baby I think! Tonight he got the major giggles feeling the baby move! He danced with the baby, too. He really notices how BIG I am. In fact he told me I was too big to sit in his chair but daddy was okay to sit in it. Now, that was a blow to my self image!! We have set up some baby stuff and Ethan likes to practice with it all. He puts dolls in the swings, stroller, and carseat. Usually pushes EVERYTHING at MAXIMUM speeds, so we will have to work on that!
