Florida!!

As I sit here all depressed today, as it is my LAST day of summer, I have to be thankful for all the fun we had this summer! Yes, I AM thankful for my job and enjoy it, but just getting back into a routine of going back to work is hard for me!
Anyways, the last posting of the summer will be our trip to Florida! Sorry readers, it's long! Ethan and I just went, and Brad stayed home to work. I really wanted to go for a long time so it didn't seem so rushed, so we stayed a full week. Thankfully grandma Lori came along, too! Also, thanks to Katie and Ronnie for putting up with us all for a WHOLE week!

Ethan did GREAT with the flights!
He had his own seat by the window each time! (Unfortunately we had to pay full price for that seat- no more free flights for Ethan!)
Katie and Ronnie got a new house this summer and we were so excited to come and see it! It is a BEAUTIFUL home and I am happy to say that Ethan will have that "Florida Aunt and Uncle" to go visit each year! Oh, did I mentioned they have their OWN pool- what a highlight! Here we are bumming by the pool (did that A LOT!)

 Floating
Even the tractors made it to Florida!
 Jumping
Eating snacks
Ethan also enjoyed a new thing, putting on "shows". It started one night when Katie, Mom, Ronnie, and I were attempting handstands in the water and Ethan told us we were doing the "olchimpmicks" aka Olympics. Thus began his own shows.

The next shows were over a min. and they won't download. They got pretty funny! We now put on shows anywhere.

If having fun by the pool everyday wasn't enough, we even went down to Orlando to DISNEY WORLD!! It was so fitting, aunt Rah Rah joined us, as she was part of MY very first trip to Disney! To say we had fun would be an understatement! Our wonderful cousin Molly works for Disney and was able to get us in free and hooked us up with lots of fast passes and EVEN got us in to see Mickey Mouse without a wait!! We were too spoiled by her and are grateful for everything she did for us!!
 Thanks again Molly!
The first thing we did was get to see Mickey and Minnie, again thanks to Molly! Ethan wasn't afraid at all! Of course when we were done he said, "Where's goofy, and Donald, and," on and on with all the other Disney friends.

Watching the parade with grandma. She got him those Mickey ears and he kept them on all day, he LOVED them!
Checking it all out with Katie.

Had to take the ears off the Pooh ride, not so happy about it!
Riding the carousel with mom. Grandma and Katie thought they would puke if they rode it.

Eating "frefries" with Rah Rah, couldn't be happier!
Waiting in line for "It's a Small World"
That was my grandpa Butcher's FAVORITE ride. We all definitely shed some tears listening to the song and thinking of him.

Ethan kept it light though, he LOVED IT!
Grandpa would have been SOO happy that Ethan was there experiencing it! (Man, I miss him!)

SWEATING, watching another parade, Ethan still refused to take off his sweaty hat!
We headed back to the Polynesian for a nap.

This picture was for grandma Butcher. The Polynesian was grandma and grandpa's favorite place to stay! Which will always be my favorite place too!
Rah Rah spoiled Ethan and got him some friends.

We went to hit the park later with Molly after dinner and our plan didn't work out so well! While walking from dinner to the Magic Kingdom- maybe equal to like six blocks- we hit the craziest rain out of no where! I mean RAIN!! We couldn't see 2 feet in front of us and I couldn't keep my flip flops on!
Katie, Ronda, and I just soaked! The only dry part on all 3 of us, was under Ronda's fanny pack! hahaha
Grandma was pushing Ethan in the stroller even under the stroller, he too was soaked! He was so scared and I felt so bad! He kept screaming, "I want my daddy!"
Needless to say we changed plans and went back to Magic Kingdom after dark.
The next morning we headed to the character breakfast (a Butcher must). Ethan took all his new animals with him.

Getting ready to see all the characters!
 MICKEY!

Then we felt bad because none of us really knew who Lilo and Stitch were.....

And Goofy!
They do a parade with all the characters and the kids. We NEVER thought we could be so lucky for Mickey to grab ETHAN! So, Ethan was holding Mickey's had the whole time!

Some videos of the action, I hope they load.

Bye-Bye Disney World!! WE will Miss you! See you again!
And about 5 min. into the car ride back to Aunt Katie's he was out!
Thanks for the great memories!

What a great trip! Dirk and I are so looking forward to taking our little girl to Disney one day! Tell Katie I am jealous of her pool! I'd be doing handstands in the water three times a day if I had that sweet set-up!
