4th of July

We decided to just stay in Mankato for the 4th and relax as a family of 3. We hit the parade in St. Peter, despite then SUPER hot triple digit weather! We found a good shady spot, so that helped. Ethan was not an aggressive candy getter. The girls in front of him were and we decided that they must not like Tootsie Rolls because they graciously handed Ethan every single one they got! Ethan didn't care. He would thank them, want to eat it right away, which meant he missed the next round candy throwing, and the cycle continued. He had fun, was polite, and that is all that matters!
At the parade. He found this 'baby' hat in our bag and insisted on wearing it. Kind of small, but maybe it helped keep the sun out!

Then we just relaxed at home for the rest of day until the fireworks in Mankato at night. They closed off the bridge between Mankato and North Mankato to allow for some viewing if you didn't want to go to the park. We really enjoyed it from this spot!
He was pretty proud of his glowstick!
Happy 4th Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great holiday and GOD BLESS THE USA! (Ethan included, "God Bless the USA" during his nightly prayers)
