Weekend Getaways!

We have had some awesome weekend gettaways this summer, wait...we have had a weekend getaway EVERY weekend this summer! Seriously, we haven't stayed at home for an entire weekend yet this summer. Not sure at what point you become a professional wedding guest or suit case packer, but we would have a shot at one of those titles!  ALL SUPER fun weekends and we still have more fun ones yet to come! Here is an update on a couple.

Canada:

I have never had traveled to our neighbors up north, but Brad had a work trip to Toronto and he did SO well this year I got to tag along for the ladder part of it! Thanks Brad!  Here are a few photos from our time there.

Our highlight was probably getting to experience Niagara Falls!  We got to take a boat right up to them- crazy! 

While we were gone Ethan spent a busy few days with Grandpa Bob and Connie attending a hog show at Crawford County Fair, where grandpa took Grand Champion, and learned the sound a pig makes. Trying to get it on video and just can't catch it- quit funny. 

He also spend time with Grandma Lori and went to the Ida County Fair one day.

 This last weekend we went to Minneapolis to a Twins Game. They were playing the White Sox, so we thought this shirt Frank bought (supposed to be a Cubs shirt) for Ethan would be appropriate for the game.

Ethan sat through 7 innings before needing a stretch (I was quite impressed that he lasted that long in our seats). Then we loaded up with ice cream, and we were good to go till the end. Of course the Twins lost and then the shirt wasn't so funny but, people still liked it.  It was a late night for him! Which meant he was a tired boy the next day.

We stayed at Water Park of America while there and Ethan LOVED the water park. There were slides he could go down by himself and slides he had fun riding down with us.  No pictures of it, but definitely will go back there again!
