Reality Check 1,2, 1,2

WOW, I knew going back to work was going to be an adjustment, but never knew the extent of it! Let's just day blogging has been on my To-Do list for about 14 days now! So, we are back ready to blog a big 'ol one! I'll start from the first week back to school.....
Big shout out to Grandma Kathy!!! She filled in for daycare the Tuesday after Labor Day until Friday! It was a nice transition, getting ready for work but not having to get Ethan ready or take him to daycare yet. Extra bonus to come home to a clean house with laundry done each day too! Grandma Kathy had awesome one on one time with Ethan!! Other grandparents a bit jealous!
Thanks for the special time Grandma Weber and the great clothes and gifts you brought me!

Then after a busy week of parent teacher conferences, first day of kids for me and meetings galore for Brad, we headed to the Clay County Fair! Grandpa Bob had some pigs to show at the fair and Ethan had some learning to do because grandpa Bob is giving Ethan 3 years to learn all about pig showing! We had a blast taking Ethan to his first fair ever! He had the cutest fair outfit equipped with a farmer shirt like Uncle Ben wears!
Get me out of this stroller, I want to see Curly the Pig!!
Watching grandpa show his pigs is exciting!
Grandpa was so excited his new showman was there!
First place pig! This was the beginning to many trophies earned at the fair. Not sure who got more with the same pigs, Aunt Brianna or Grandpa Bob! I do think Brianna won more! It must be her good looks! ha
We will ignore the fact that Iowa/Iowa State was less than enjoyable to listen to. Next year, right?! Then Donna and Lucas watched Ethan in their NEW place, while Ben, Brianna, Brad, dad, Connie, and I went to the Rodney Atkins concert. It was a fun time and good concert!! We also stayed up in Okoboji at the new Bridges Bay resort and had time in the morning to do some swimming! Ethan had a fun time checking out all the water playground stuff. Here he is with his favorite one, the dolphin.
His shark swim top from the summer had to go into retirement(mom was super sad to pack that away), so we had belly hanging all out!
Thanks a million for the fun times grandpa bob and connie!
Monday came way to fast! New transition, getting ready for work AND getting Ethan ready and off to daycare! We were so excited that Catherine was back! She said Ethan had a great first day! Of course he took great long naps for her, something I have been working on since he was born! She must have the magic touch. He is really liking daycare and I think we found the perfect place! Thanks Catherine! Her daughter Emma and son Fred are great help too! I had Emma in my class 2 years ago, so it is fun to see her each day!
Thanks Catherine for making it such a smooth transition and playing with Ethan while mommy and daddy work!
I have gotten NOTHING done at nights. Feel like I have to soak up all my 4 hours I get with Ethan at home and put everything else on the back burner. I have never seen our house so unorganized before! I think one night I was putting away supper stuff at 11:30, don't ask me what I have been I couldn't even tell you! I am giving myself a few more weeks before I give myself an intervention (teaching talking!).
We had a special birthday this week too, Grandma Lori!! Had to send her a little video because we couldn't spend the day with her. Wish we could have spent the day with you grandma!! We will see you in a few weekends!
Oh, did I mention we have been training for a 1/2 marathon in October so Ethan has had lots of miles put on his Bob cruiser, with another 10 today! I am trying to get Brad to start pushing him, but haven't gotten that accomplished yet, so meanwhile I will become super buff pushing him up those big hills in Mankato!
This is our last weekend until Thanksgiving that we have NOTHING planned, so I don't see it getting any slower around here. Oh well, live it up right!?!? We have one more thing to say.....
GO CYCLONES!!!!!!! BEAT K-STATE!
Love you all!
Ethan
