Seven Months and yucky week

Little Ethan Robert turned 7 months today. What? I know I can't believe it either! He is such a little charmer. We love those blue eyes and big smiles more and more everyday! Went to work in my classroom with Ethan and overheard little girls across the hall in the bathroom say, "Oh my gosh, did you see Mrs. Weber's baby. I want her as a teacher because she has the cutest baby!" Had to chuckle. Guess when the kids are acting out I can flash a picture of Ethan and all the troubles will go away because I have a cute kid!
Had to get in the Cyclone Spirit being game day is less than 2 weeks away- Go Cyclones!

Mom got silly trying to make me smile and look who shows up......
ZOIE! She gets very jealous and wants to be part of all pictures these days too!
As you can see, his newest and most exciting accomplishment is sitting up! I was convinced the kid was never going to figure it out. He seemed more interested in standing while holding to our hands and rolling. But, he has got it down now. I trust him enough to take away the Boppy and me sitting behind him, so he is on his own! Here are some pictures of he big guy!
"I just like to make you worry about me mom, I made you wait for this!"
Here is a new game we play in the morning.
"Oh, Tad the Tadpole I like the silly songs you sing to me"
"Now I want to make you sing another song"

"But I just knock you over"
"Mom fixes it and I am happy again!" Repeat.
We have had a crazy yucky week this week. Last Friday was Ethan's first practice day at daycare. He did so well, I however had to sit in my car and cry a bit after leaving before I could go work in my classroom. I picked him up and he was smiling just like he was when I left. Catherine was great to him! Then SAD news came on Saturday. Catherine's son was in a tragic car accident, making it unknown when she will be coming back. We are so sad for them and pray every night for the family. After several calls, I thought I found a great replacement for the time being and things we a go for the 3oth! Then today got a call that she broke her wrist and won't be able to take Ethan. So, more phone calls today. Meeting with another provider next Tuesday. Cross your fingers. Joked with Grandpa Bob about him starting a daycare business here, and he is going to help out next week, but the farm will be calling him in a few weeks!
THEN, yes there is more.
I went to water our lawn on Wednesday because we just replaced our roof from hail storm and the grass where they had the tarp killed the grass. Deep breath. So, I hooked up the sprinkler for the first time using the other faucet we have never used. 2 hours later went to the basement to find out that I was not water the grass, but watering the basement!! YIKES- water all down the walls in the ceiling of the bedroom and seeping out into the hallway. I have lots of wet basement experience from grandma Lori's house, but I refused to shop vac it and deal with it like she does. Not enough energy. Needless to say, Tidy Clean got some great business from my big boo-boo! Helping businesses in the bad economy right?!?! Someone has to benefit from my mistakes. No pictures of this mess, it makes me too sick to capture this bad memory!

Next week HAS to be better, it is my LAST week home with my baby!!!

What a difficult week! I am so sorry you've been having such a hard time, but I really do appreciate your positive attitude about it all. Way to stimulate the economy, Wendy!

Bummer on the not-so-fun week. Keeping my fingers crossed that you find a backup sitter. I can't believe that Ethan is 7 months old already! It's so great that you have been able to be with him the entire time!
Best of luck to the start of school!! Love the Cyclones shirt as well!
