Super Duper Spring

Usually our spring seems to be calm and slow but not this year! We had LOTS going on even though it felt as if spring weather was never going to come! April was one of the coldest ever and May the hottest- go figure! Here is what we were up to in and out of school:

Science Fair
Ethan and his friend Raxton did a great science fair project and had lots of fun along the way doing it together! I worked with them on the data collection and Raxton's mom is a graphic designer so she helped with the board- win/win for all!

Weekend trip to Dysart- since we went skiing over Easter we didn't make it back to Dysart so we needed to go see everyone!! It was a quick trip but always special seeing grandparents!
We visited great grandma Lillian- she is looking good! She will celebrate her 95th birthday in August.

Never a complete trip to Dysart without a gator ride! Ethan even had his first shot at driving it himself!

MAY DAY- even though it was a bit chilly we stayed true to our May Day sprinkle popcorn deliveries!

May also brought Aunt Rah Rah! It was great that she got to come stay with us before heading to Holstein. Luke kept her VERY busy on Thursday while Ethan and mom were at school!
This was seriously the best picture I could get- silly boys.

SPRING CONCERT- Luke's last preschool performance sure brought out the tears in my eyes! He is a great performer!

Ice cream afterwards with this sunflower he planted. We transferred it to our yard but I am not sure it will make it.....speaking of Luke....
he loves CHORES. His favorite is folding towels. He is actually pretty good at it. He also has a new love in his life...well, not love but crush. This is a message I got from his teacher.

 Only Luke!

Holstein on Mother's Day. The boys and I headed to Holstein over Mother's Day to help grandma Lori clean out great grandma and grandpa's house. Which meant cousin time!

Another May tradition is the ISU tailgate party in Okoboji! It's fun to hear from the coaches and kids like to meet up with grandpa and Connie and try on some gear!

Luke still loves his hugs from Cy!

 Wresting coach.

Luke was the first on out for SUMMER!

He loved having Mrs. Tramp and so did we! She also was Ethan's teacher so it was fun having her again!
And I can't say enough about Catherine! She has watched both boys for us since Ethan started daycare! She is a WONDERFUL provider who we will be forever grateful for! She went above and beyond and took our boys to and from preschool everyday, too!
FINALLY IT GOT HOT! Memorial Day was a roasty one! In the high 90's so we headed to the pool at the golf club! In fact my kids were the first to jump off the boards for the season!

Ethan and I baked in school the last week as it was in the 90s with no AC! But the end was in sight so we made it!

SUPER EXciTED for SUMMER! June is JAM PACKED full of fun already!
