First Reconciliation and Aunt Nina

Aunt Nina came to visit us the second weekend in Jan. Luke was all pumped to show her how to cook in his Easy Bake Oven. Both kids were sick earlier that week so they were still a bit under the weather when she was there, but seeing her gave them some spark!
Mixing it all up!

Their final creation!

Saturday morning Ethan had his First Reconciliation. He worked hard at memorizing his prayers and he said he wasn't nervous at all about going to confess his sins to Father. Probably because the kid hardly does anything bad at all..seriously not sure what he even said...maybe...sometimes I whine...sometimes I get mad at my brother....he was dead set on "not having to share with mom and dad what he said." So, like it should be his sins are between God and him I guess!

We then headed to a sports bar to watch the ISU Baylor game. Hated missing a home game, but Church comes first! So we did the next best thing...eat bar food, drink and watch the game! It was a sweet victory!

He opened his gifts from Christina with her there....that is always fun! Some great basketball timers an scoreboards for him to play with. The kid plays basketball in our basement ALL day long...seriously that is all the kid does!

It was a great weekend having Aunt Nina around! I do feel bad we passed on the crud we had to her! Nothing says "thanks for coming" more than getting your guests sick...haha. So fortunate to have had her around that weekend! We love you Aunt Nina!
