Clay County Fair- it's a big deal this year!

Grandpa Butcher has been feeding these pigs since March- they were registered in Ethan's name since he was old enough to show on his own now. To say he showed up excited was understatement!
All set ready to go! Of course grandpa said to be there early...so we had time to roam the fair with Kate! She grabbed his hand and they were off!

It was finally show time! Braden Else and grandpa helped Ethan get the pig to the ring and he was SOLO from there!

Ready for the second one.
 Showing his pen of 3
It was a great day! He was sooo proud of himself! I think grandpa was more nervous than he was!

On Sunday we were back ready for round two. The we had some time again to see some fair things. Here the boys bottle fed a baby calf.

He wasn't so sure of it.
 Practice milking the cow.

 Luke liked these cutouts!
Mom and her boys!
Back to the barn!
Luke had a great time doing his part- brushing off the pigs.

This is my favorite pic- Grandpa and dad on the fence line, Ethan showing.

 Smiles!
 Thanks grandpa!

The pig guys- grandpa's buddy Mike, grandpa, Luke and Ethan. Another fair in the books. Thanks grandpa for making this boy one excited guy! Love that he can still do "farm kid" things living in the city!
