We of course had a jam packed Easter weekend! Everything we do seems to be jam packed, but it's always so much fun! So, Iowa State made it into the Sweet 16 and the games happened to be in Chicago! So, headed that direction anyways to John and Kathy's we decided, Why not go?? So, a frantic search for tickets on stubhub began! Found some and we were set! Later in the week, grandma Lori had one up for grabs and we asked Brian if he wanted to join us. So, he did! Who wouldn't want to join this awesome couple- hahaha!!
We headed to Dysart Thursday and took off on Friday morning. Made it there by 12:30 and were in a bar by 1:00!
The United Center was 1.3 miles from our hotel and we decided to walk towards it and stop at bars along the way. I think we made it 3 blocks before the guys were HUNGRY! Stopped and got some food and our first beers. We headed to another bar for Cyclone fans and it was PACKED! So fun seeing all the Cyclone fans around! Met up with grandma Lori, too! Before we knew it was time for the game!

Pretty cool to experience a Sweet 16 game!
The outcome of the game was less than desirable! It was so hard to see them get beat! I loved Niang and I am sad I will never get to see him play again!!
We took off Saturday morning and we home early afternoon. Short trip!
Saturday morning grandma took the boys to the Easter Egg hunt in town. A favorite park of my kids.
Luke getting his exercise in!
Yearly photo with the Easter Bunny!
The Easter Bunny game that night, too!
The boys were excited to use their new sleeping bags from their birthdays- or started out using them until the wild sleeper Luke took over the bed!
Brooklynn and boys with their baskets!
Off to church and that means pictures!
My handsome 6 year old!!
Such a great big brother!
Love these too and their goofy personalities!
Awe!! And doesn't Kathy's fireplace decor make for the best background???
And here is the REAL goofball!
This silly attitude continued while at church. Luke didn't do well at church!! Yikes.
John, Kathy all 7 grandkids and great grandma Lillian! Luke was the stinker for these, always has to be someone! He refused to stand so yes, great photo and Luke's socks front and center!
Luke being silly now that the photos were over!
The kids table!!
Wonderful meal, like always, for lunch!
We had to have the famous Kathy and John color coded egg hunt, even if they weather was cold. It is a must do! So fun!!
Luke was yellow!
Ethan blue. He had some tough ones to find! Not just around the house anymore since he is all grown up!
Luke had fun with Brian finding all of his eggs!
We a great time had by all! God has surly blessed us with amazing families!
