Over Christmas when we were snowed in with the Merrill's we decided to look up information on Disney Cruises. Looking at it got us too excited to not book a trip! We decided on a short 3 Night cruise since none of us have cruised before and we weren't sure if we would get sick or not. So booked it and planned to set sail in February! Crazy how fast that came up- boom, February was here and we were off!

We took a late flight into Orlando, thought maybe a late flight would allow the boys to sleep on the plane.
UM wrong! They were GREAT, but once they saw they each had their own TV screen on their seat and they could watch their OWN movie they were not going to sleep! Of course all the Twizzlers we ate didn't have a sleepy effect either! I even got to watch American Idol!
We had a short night at our hotel in Orlando before Kate, grandma Lori, and Drew were there to pick us up and head to the Port!
The cruise ship from the car- wow, they boys thought it was HUGE, it was HUGE!
Learned a lot about the cruise process and how it was GREAT that we were early so we could spend time on the ship before leaving. While waiting there were Characters and already the Disney hospitality was amazing!
Luke signing MICKEY'S autograph book. Luke thought he was so cool!
Luke has a slight obession with tickets right now! Ever since ISU football when we made such a big deal about not loosing the ticket! So, here is Luke with his Ticket ready to board!
It was cool as you walked onto the ship they announced your family name like you were famous! Here is grandma and the Merrills being announced.
On the boat for less than 5 min and we saw Cinderella! Boys weren't that excited about a princess.
So, we were off to the pool to enjoy the warm sunshine!
Mickey shaped pool. Yes, I think we were the first ones in the pool! ha
AquaDuck waterslide that went around the WHOLE ship was Ethan's first mission! So fun and cool to see the views from up there. All the adults went at least once with him as we all had to check it out!
Luke and Ethan in the splash pad.
We had a vacation club party with Chip and Dale. Luke fist bumping Chip! He was all about the characters again like he was last year!
Loved giving them hugs!
Grandma and her cruising grandsons.
The push off party- While leaving the party there was a fun entertaining Disney show to set us a sailing!
Watching us move away from the dock!
Before leaving anytime we talked about the cruise ship Luke would say- I am going to drive the ship. I was slightly nervous as he was totally convinced he was going to do that. Then talking with Katie, Drew was saying the exact same thing. It was funny. So when leaving they saw this "wheel" and that sufficed as driving the boat. The wheel quickly became a hanging bar once Ethan got involved.
Our first cruise experience! It was a bit more breezy than we expected the first night.
While sitting down to dinner we saw some whales swimming. Of course I couldn't capture a photo when they were out of the water.
Dinners were AMAZING! Disney is so good at all they do and the service was excellent. Each night when coming to dinner they had boosters for the boys and names on all the kids' cups. We had the same 2 servers each night so we really got to know them!
Luke enjoying his soup appetizer! My kids thought getting their own appetizer each night was pretty fun!
and the BEST part of dinner- DESSERT every single night!! Oh, and we celebrated each boys birthday on each of the nights. So those nights they got 2 desserts!
Mickey Ice Cream bars all around!!
So YUMMY and Messy!
Luke LOVES chocolate, so his approach was to eat off all the chocolate first, then eat the ice cream.
Servers Clive and Lieber were great with the kids! They had magic tricks for them each night! Some were really good and the adults couldn't figure them out either!
High fives for magic!
Then the live music when leaving dinner let the kids burn off some energy before the live shows. The SHOWS were awesome and each night their eyes were glued to the show the whole time!
Each night the maids game and "magically" created the bunk beds. The boys thought it was the coolest!
Day 2- Port at the Bahamas. We stayed on the ship as we have been to the Atlantis before and with such a short cruise this was the only time to take advantage of all the ship has to offer.
Mickey slide was on repeat all morning. Ethan was SUCH a good cousin and brother and took the kids down and down and down!
More swimming! If we could have recorded their conversations it would have been classic. They talked to each other the whole time, but we didn't know what they were saying or talking about!
Ethan and grandma on the aquaduck. I have mom's head in the photo, it was fast and I didn't get a good shot!
Mini Golfing!! Drew was a pro, Luke, not so much!
Atlantis. Cool view
Luke taking a break from basketball!
cheese!
basketball fun!
back to golf.
Ethan loved sitting in the port holes! Waiting for the Jake and Sophia Pirate Party.
Luke has the red hankerchielf on his head with red and blue shorts. Ethan doesn't have any pirate gear on.
It was Pirate Party all day and night. Drew Loved the Menu turned into a Pirate hat!
Ethan checked out the kids club- AMAZING! He LOVED ALL the Star Wars things!
Chocolate milks all around!
More Mickey Bars!
Swimming with NEMO at dinner. Standing on chairs and dancing at dinner?!?! SURE!
Another magic trick from Clive, Ethan was so shocked!
Pirate Boat Party
Captain Hook and Smee
Another great Disney Show for our nightly entertainment! Drew was going to get the Villians!
Came back to the room to this towel gorilla!
Day 3 Cast Away Cay- Disney's Private Island
Grandma, mom and Luke went out early to find a great spot on the beach with chairs! We didn't have any toys yet, so we wrote names in the sand!
Luke told the waiter he was hungry and nothing was open yet, but the waiter brought him a bag a chips- Yep, chips for breakfast at 9 am! haha
Aunt Katie bought the boys new hats!
"You reading your book again grandma?"
Beach Bum
Silly Luke!
Cheers with grandma!
We bought a basketball and Katie was the "hoop"
Um, that is NOT a basketball Luke!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this photo. They are actually cheersing their ice cream cones- YES unlimited ice cream cones on the island as well!!! I think Luke had more than a dozen cones in 4 days!
Digging and playing ALL day!! Ethan was in charge and the little kids did whatever he told them to do!
Drew was obsessed that grandma had a book on the beach! It was too funny! He kept asking her why she was reading on the beach!
"You redding your book again grandma?"
So, I just have videos and no photos from the water slides that were there that went into the ocean. Luke and Drew were SO BRAVE and did them even though they went completely underwater when you slide off (life jackets on). They got off the first one and immediately wanted to go on the enclosed, dark, fast one! They both did it, too!
Beautiful!!
A view back at the boat. The island was awesome and we stayed their ALL day long! Could have stayed for days there!
Ethan posing while waiting for mom and katie to catch up- while they walked what seemed like miles with dead weight from Luke and Drew sleeping on their shoulders! They were OUT!
Dinner for the last night :(
More dancing!
Luke likes poles???????
More poles?
Grooving!
The meeting of the minds!
The ship was so cool at night!
ANOTHER cone for LUKE! The BOYS!
Grandma and the kids!
Watching a movie with Drew.
Another fun towel animal!
And CHOCOLATES. Luke caught on right away that when we get back to our room after the shows there will be chocolates on the beds!
Back at port! Woke up back at the dock.
OUT cold the ENTIRE flight home!
Luke was lazy, I guess.
AMAZING TIME, AMAZING FAMILY, AMAZING FUN! A do-it-again-trip!!
