September

A look back onto this past month, September. Here is what happened on the weeks after the first football game and the Clay County fair.
Looking back onto September I realized that I never posted pictures from Ethan's first day of preschool! He is going EVERYDAY from 9-11:30. His teacher, Mrs. Tramp is great and she talks ISU with Ethan because her son went there and now lives in Ames. Catherine's (our day care lady) husband Kurt takes Ethan and picks him up each day. We are soo fortunate for this because he wouldn't be able to go unless Kurt was doing this!

I was looking through my baby book for some old pictures and came across these photos. Luke definitely takes after me and Ethan looks a lot like aunt Katie!! Crazy genetics!

In the middle of September we went to Holstein to help celebrate Kelby's 2nd birthday. I traveled by myself and the kids did great on both the ride there and back!

These kids were quite the crew!! Great grandma in the background just enjoying all the smiles, cries, and giggles!
It was great catching up with her, too!
This was the same weekend as the Iowa/Iowa State game. We watched it grandma Lori's. Of course Luke has a cookie in his mouth, he is the real life version of Cookie Monster!

This is Luke crying and Ethan covering his ears during the game with grandma and mom screaming/celebrating our win!

Luke is into selfies. He likes looking at himself in the camera. Momma her boys!

It was a very nice Septmeber weather wise. One weekend day we headed out to Minneopa Falls. You can barely tell in the picture that it is a water fall. Must be dry as the water is just dribbling down.

Brad and Ethan went explore more than mom and Luke. The limestone rock crushes and makes almost sand at the bottom of the falls. Ethan had fun hiking with Brad.

 Beautiful fall picture!

The last weekend of September we headed back to Ames for some tailgating. Can you believe that it was a NIGHT game and was still 70 degrees at 11:00 at night! Totally lucked out on that one weather wise, not so much winning wise.
 True meaning of tailgating~

Luke is bad at finding leftovers on the ground. We have to watch that one! At one point Beau scraped the rest of his hotdog onto Luke's plate because he knew Luke would eat it for him!

So, Ethan's preschool class has a mascot named Rascal the rabbit. Of course we happened to get him over the weekend. You have to write about his adventures so Rascal came with us to the game and Ethan dressed him in his own Cyclone t-shirt!
Ethan doing the jumpy house at the Jr. Cyclone tent
These boys were using the tailgate at like a WWF ring- they were WILD!!
 All boys to your corner!

Just chilling with Beau before the game. Yep, eating cookies, too.

 Grandma Lori and Ethan!
Brad and Luke. He was really good the first quarter. Then it was past his bedtime and he struggled a bit because he refused to fall asleep under the lights. We managed, but my arms were soooo sore for a few days after the game from holding that 30plus pound chunk who would only go to his mom when he got tired!!
We were all pretty tired the next day. Both boys slept almost the entire way home.

That sums up September! Lots of busy weekends and back to school. October will bring more football and fall-fested weekends as well. Let's hope the warm weather lasts! Last weekend it was 80 and today the high was 43!!
