Last Day at Disney

Sunday was our last day at Disney, don't worry we didn't take it easy, we still went hard! Started with a character breakfast at out hotel for Ronda's birthday breakfast (she hadn't had one of these yet). We sneaked in a surprise...family t-shirts! Harry came up with the theme
"Let's Party with Mickey cuz' Rah-Rah's 50!"

We surprised her well! (Harry made her wait all weekend)
We also had a GREAT NEW guest join us on Sunday morning, DREW!! It was so fun to see him and play with him all day! Ron and Cathy joined us and it was great to talk with them as well.
 Bri and Drew
 Waiting to eat with papa
The family photo. Cousin Molly and her boyfriend were able to join us for breakfast, too!
Drew loved the characters. He just had to grab her nose!

Ethan wasn't as fun as the characters, haha.

Ethan opening Ronda's card for her
If anyone remembers, Ethan got to hold Mickey's hand in the parade last year and look whose hand Mickey is holding again this year! CRAZY!

Ben and Bri with Mickey
 PLUTO

 Connie's buddies
Ethan entertaining Drew. Between papa and Ethan, there was no chance Drew could be bored. ha
Renea made Ronda an AMAZING book! She laughed, cried, and laughed some more! It was fun watching her reactions turning each page.

After breakfast the whole gang headed back to Magic Kingdom to ride as many rides as we could on the last day.

We started papa off with an easy one, the magic carpets...

Then some went to Pirates of the Caribean and some waited for the Merrills. The ones who went ended up getting stuck on the ride and had to exit a through a back exit. However, we got a whole slug of fast passes that allowed us to go on lots of rides- perfect, our goal!

So, off the best ride....It's a Small World. This ride will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was grandpa Butcher's favorite ride and I have fond memories of riding on this with him and the whole family. Now, I can't ride it without crying.
Ethan thought it was a "hands in the air kind of ride" I guess as we continued through the journey he realized it wasn't.

Then many other rides in Fantasy land before headed back to his favorite, Buzz!
Then we hit the cars. So, Ethan wasn't tall enough to drive, just want to tell you that before you see these next pictures....

Um, look who is driving??!?!?!
Papa likes to say, "no rules, just guidelines" That is what happened here I believe.
Now, the next in the series crack me up. So papa went from waving to....

"whoa Ehtan"

 to "yikes!"
Mom and dad were racing Ethan around the track
 Connie and her buddies again
Then Ethan asked me if he could do the tea cups again. I said you know who to ask.....
Yep, they were off. Harry and Ethan
 He loved them!

You can't go to Magic Kingdom without a family shot with the castle in the background.
The Edwards
And Brad can't go a day without his senior picture poses

Then we had the best luck hitting up the parade with front row seats and Woody giving Ethan a high five! It was perfect!
We continued on some more rides and Ethan was sooo close to being tall enough for Splash Mountain, next year! He had fun with Harry watching the rest of us go down the big mountain.
It was a great last day at the parks! We love you Magic Kingdom!! The rest of the day we spent at the pool relaxing and hoping to watch the fireworks from the beach at the hotel. The rain had other plans. Oh well, still had a great time hanging out. Ethan ended the night with a sleep over with papa and Connie while mom, dad, Ben, and Bri hit extra Magic hours until 1 am at Magic Kingdom.

It was an UNFORGETTABLE trip! So glad Ronda turned 50 and invited us to her fantastic party!!! Thanks for everything Rah Rah! We love you!
Until next time, Disney- thanks for the memories!!
