Luke's First Big Trip!

Luke busted out of rainy Minnesota and headed to SUNNY Florida! Mom, Luke, and Papa Butcher headed to visit cousin Drew for his big day, baptism! This is what I am sure is the first of many trips to Florida to play with Drew! He traveled great and we were glad we had the extra help from papa!

 We were supporting our "team grandpa" shirt! Luke and papa were quite the team! Luke ate and slept during the flight and did great! Glad we had non-stop.

 As soon as we got there aunt Katie snagged Luke up!

After playing we had some sleepy boys so we headed to Katie and Ronnie's club for some afternoon cocktails and munchies. 

It was hard leaving Brad and Ethan behind, but thankful we have FaceTime! How could I go a day without seeing this smiling face!

 However, about 2 min. of talking to mom, Ethan would ask, "let me see papa!"

Saturday morning was Drew's baptism, check these guys out...

 Brad and I were really honored to be Drew's godparents! Glad I was able to be there for his big day!

Katie put together a wonderful brunch afterwards at their house. Ronnie's family was there and it was great to see them all again, too.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing and enjoying the vacation!

Luke: If I could roll over I would smash you. I'll just lay here, you do all the hard the work.
These two are too funny together. Luke is so lazy and Drew is a wild man! Drew had really grown and is catching up to Luke the tank. I cannot wait to see Drew in a few short weeks in June!

Sunday FUNday! So, we decided since we relaxed on Saturday that we needed to get out and about on Sunday. Dad suggested the Sand Pearl, where Katie and Ronnie had their fabulous wedding!

So, we piled in the car, I literally mean, piled..

 

 Papa had the most uncomfortable seat, my hips were smashed between to carseats, but we made it there safe and sound and that is all that matters!

 We had a fun day in the sun well, shade for the little ones, had some great grouper sandwiches and mojitos, too! Luke had his milk and took the term beach bum to a whole new level. He was OUT! We had fun messing around with him and his crazy wind blown beach hair...

 It was truly a Sunday FUNday!!

What a great time we had in just a few short days. We headed home on Monday and Luke traveled well again. I think about 10 people in the airport asked how old he was and every single person had a response within the lines of, "wow, big boy!"
