Fall Happenings, it has been BUSY

Since I have had a few days off of school, I feel like I can get caught up on the fall. Then I hope to stay caught up! Here is what we have been up to already this fall......
1. Climbing out of the crib!
So here is the story on this one. Ethan had some struggles at daycare when we started back this fall. Listening to directions was a major issue, oh and so was SCREAMING NO to anything he didn't feel like doing. If starting back to school wasn't enough stress, I had to deal with a naughty kid at daycare!
Anyways, one day after I picked him (he had a bad day) he started throwing a fit for me and that was it, TIME OUT in the crib so I could shut the door and let him do his yelling. All of the sudden it was VERY quiet upstairs. I peeked my head in a saw him reading a book. I thought to myself, "hmm, I don't think he had a book in there, but he is quiet so I will leave him alone."
Then I came back up a few minutes later and found this....
a CRIB FULL of books. So, I realized, for the first time, that Ethan could get out of his crib on his own. The only positive thing I could think of from this situation is that he put himself BACK in time-out. Ethan, the stinker!!!

2. NEW COUSIN BABY KELBY!!
Andrew and Melissa welcomed a new baby boy, Kelby on September 11. A big baby boy!
 Andrew the proud daddy!
Kelby on his way home, I think this sooo cute!
We come down after he was only a week or sold old, I just couldn't resist and Ethan was pretty excited as well! On the way down I asked him if he was going to hold baby Kelby. Here was our conversation,
Ethan:No, I play with him.
Me: What will you play with him?
Ethan: Tractors
Me: He can't walk yet to play tractors.
Ethan: He crawl, all babies crawl.
So, I was a bit nervous how this visit would go, but all went well!
 First time holding Kelby!
 Excited little cousin!

 Kisses!
This video is classic way to show the attention span of a 2 1/2 year old.

3. Tailgating and ISU football
At one of the football games Ethan got to go on the field with players- only one person could go with him. Guess who was most excited about this?!?! GRANDMA LORI! It was her birthday weekend and I think it was as much as a gift to her as it was Ethan. Here they are waiting 40 min. before the game to line up!

Seeing some of the players already.
Ethan and grandma are someone in the massive crowd of kids cheering the players on! Grandma of course got a front row view spot for Ethan!
Thanks for the tickets grandma Lori!!
I love sitting by you!

The K-State game Ethan's cousins Brooklynn and Aidan got to come to the game with us. Here they are playing kick the can- yes, it was a beer can, but what else do you find around in an ISU tailgate parking lot?!?!

 Ethan and Aunt Nina!
Tailgating with papa is fun, too!
 We found CY!
 Hugging CY!

We get to see Connie too!
Aidan and Ethan at the game.

We even got to see our buddy, Colin at one of the games!

4. The Weber's at fall time...
Means serious pumpkin decorating by grandma Weber! Isn't she talented!!
  Ethan LOVES his ISU pumpkin!
Belle and Ethan with their pumpkins!
5. Farming with Uncle Ben

Not many pictures of this, but you can kind of see Ethan's little head over the steering wheel. He got to spend a few hours in the tractor and combine with papa and Ben. I wouldn't let him ride with uncle Andrew as it freaks me out when Andrew is packing the silage- too scary for this mama!

6. Pumpkin patch and the coldest day of fall yet!
Oh well, everything is better when your buddy Colin is along.

7. Chill'n out with daddy!
One Sunday I came downstairs to Ethan and Brad watching football. Aren't they two peas in a pod?!?!
Making book trains with dad- Ethan is OBSESSED with lining things up. I bless it as it brings back the most wonderful memories of me watching my Grandpa Butcher play with my brothers. They lined up everything too. I just think about Great Grandpa Butcher smiling in heaven every time Ethan lines things up!

Even as I write this I can already think of things that happened these last few days to get documented, man it's hard to keep up!

I'm sure it is hard to keep up, both with documenting, AND with a 2 1/2 year old as busy and curious as Ethan! I loved reading all the different parts of this post, but my absolute favorite is the fact that he took all those books back to time out with him. That is classic.
