4th of July!

So yeah, I am a whole week and a half behind, but here were our happenings from the 4th of July weekend. We started off by going to Dysart on Thursday. Ethan got to stay at grandma and grandpa Weber's all by himself Friday and Saturday while Brad and I went to my great friend, Bethany's wedding, in which I was a bridesmaid, in downtown Chicago. It was SO much fun (minus going to the wrong hotel, checking in, checking out, and heading to the right one- you know me, nothing is ever simple!). Here are some shots from her wedding and Brad's solo adventures in Chicago on Saturday morning.

Who knew Brad had such good photography skills?!?!?

Brad and I at dinner. It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding, reception, just everything!
Including the bride Bethany and groom Matt! I was so happy to be part of their special day!
We then went back to Dysart to celebrate the 4th! Ethan got to be in the kiddie parade ( a 2 block FAST walk to the park where their were games for families). It was funny.
A few flags attached to the stroller was all you needed to be a participant!
Cousins Belle and Lexi were all decked out with their scooters. Ethan wasn't too patient while they got the parade started.

I got to run the Firecracker 5k on the morning of the 4th, which was pretty fun! My prize was a free ice cone at the drive-inn! Can't be that!
Then we went and watched to main parade.

Belle and Lexi were part of Brian's Pioneer entry.
Ethan clapping along to the band!
After the parade we went to the park for other festivities. The one I would like to share was the craziest petting zoo ever! We went RIGHT at the beginning, so the animals were "fresh" or in other words, Extremely hungry! Kids were being malled by them. It wasn't your normal petting zoo, here they just shoved TONS of ALL different kinds together from pot belly pigs to chickens to goats to donkeys to lamas to ducks- EVERYTHING. It was quite the entertainment. Ethan didn't go in because his parents were afraid to go in themselves!
Just one camera angle of the craziness!

It was super hot so we decided to go to the pool that afternoon. Dysart has a great one!

Ethan's first water slide! Belle and Lexi were great help, too!

We had lots of time for farm fun before the fireworks so.....
 We had Gator Rides
And John Deere tractor rides! Ethan learned how to say tractor this weekend too! Well, "tra" is what we get!

Grandma Weber's Amazing Vegetable Garden Tour
Check out the size of that cabbage!
Ethan's way of helping- running through the whole thing!
 And her beautiful flower gardens.

Ethan eating his first ear of sweet corn ever!
He also had his own ice cream cone!
Then finally the fireworks! Ethan did great! Loved them and not scared one bit! We were so happy to be able to spend the holiday weekend with family and friends! Hope you all had a great 4th too!
