To keep up with the seeing Katie almost every other month, I decided to head to Florida to see the Merrill's while Brad was at his kickoff. We were going to be home without Brad for a couple of days anyways, so I booked a flight and to the Merrill's we went! Had enough miles to have the boys fly free!
Ethan and I went down to see baby Reese last year so I braved it and decided I could take both boys solo this year. They did great! Brad dropped us off that made it super easy!
Boom- fly mid-day and can be through check in and security before Brad leaves airport gas station restroom! haha
Thought we would have lunch at a kid friendly restaurant and found that MSP is taking fast food out and so we had some fried rice and edamame?!?! At least Ethan and Luke like it! Not quite the 5 buck kids meal I was hoping for more like a 12 kids meal. Oh well!
Luke proud of his security sticker!
Reading to ROCK it!
Ready to take off
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Delta's in flight entertainment- didn't have to haul DVD player or anything! Locked in to a movie before we took off!
Aunt Katie picked us up and we had playtime and pizza! It was raining off and on so no pool the first night. And then the next morning....rain.....so inside playtime in PJ's!
I think every toy they owned made an appearance this weekend!
That's my chubby Reese I know and LOVE!
Well, a quick swim in the pool and then the rain again, so we opted to go BOWLING!
Ethan liking his shoes!
They had a great time- scoring was off the whole time but they didn't care as long as they each got 2 turns.
Sweet Merrill's and Ethan. Where's Luke you ask....eating the french fries at the table and refused to take a photo.
But would come for his turn!
Luke liked the ramp better than throwing the ball down.
The kids had a great time and the adults had some cocktails as well :)
Ethan doing the kid watching.
They listen to him better than us some times!
The next day was on and off rain again. Ronnie was going to be BRAVE and take all the boys to the Tampa Bay Bucks training camp and it got rained out. Such a bummer- here is a pool break between rains watching some cartoons outside on their new outdoor tv!
My kids thought outside tv was pretty awesome!
Reese loved climbing up on this trampoline, but not the safest thing so we had to block her from going on it! Such a stinker!
While waiting for the rain to stop, we did some SnapChat fun with Olympic flare!
Ethan
Luke
We had a concert performed by Drew and Luke- Hunting Fishing, loving everyday.
They all tried a new trick in the pool- diving. It was the funniest thing to watch. Here is a short clip of our entertainment.
Reese wanted in!
She owns it! Strutting her stuff!
They loved the 'boat' and would fly across the pool on their bellies.
Snack and rain delay...again.
On Monday Ethan, Reese, and I went with Aunt Katie to her office. It was soo cool and to say how proud I was of my sister when walking through HER OWN BUSINESS and everything and everyone was there with a job because of HER, was inspiring! She is something else! She had meeting with some potential clients, so she showed me the route to the shopping center. I loaded Reese up in the stroller and we were off. SOOO close to the shops before a DOWNPOUR- yep, got caught in the rainstorm with a baby and Ethan. We were soaked- Ethan thought it was awesome. We did some shopping, ice cream and cupcake eating (Reese the champ there). We could have Katie pick us up because I had her car keys with me- so we ventured back in the rain! An adventure for the memory bank for Ethan.
Tuesday we headed to the airport, everything ontime, Katie leaves and by the time I get to bag drop the flight was delayed until 10:00pm. I decided to not risk it and take new seats on Wednesday's flight and Katie was back to get us! Another night!
Luke was excited to go back to the fun!
We rocked out at Hunter's Green Club- kids played mini-golf and adults had some WINE! It turned out to be a FUN night! Ronnie took us back the next morning. LOVE having a sister and seeing her beautiful family whenever we get the chance! Next time the sun will actually shine....hopefully. Still a wonderful time with family! So blessed!
