A FABULOUS Five Year Old

5. 5 Fabulous years with the most amazing kid. How can it be five years already? 5. It just sounds so old, like I don't have a little kid anymore, I have school aged kid. And this little kid is growing up before our eyes and I want him to stop growing, but at the same time these five years have been amazing and I am excited to see what else this kid's future holds!
Such a scary time 5 years ago. I don't think I will ever forget the worries we had and to be honest, still have. I think it is part of parenthood to naturally worry about your child and just want the very best for them! This will be a huge year for Ethan. As the week before he turned 5 we got registration papers to sign him up for Kindergarten. That was TOO much emotion just opening that on the same week I had to admit I have a 5 year old. School will bring on it's own excitement and of course worries. For now, we will embrace the 5's and keep on soaking in every moment!
Birthday Boy at preschool. I was able to sneak over and have his birthday cupcakes with his class at preschool. Then he had doctor appointments and dentist. It was my way of getting the day off to spend with him. Making appointments for him to go too!
This make shift doctor stand is the culprit of his dr appointment. AHHH. More about that later, not going to ruin a birthday post with the story behind all these home remedies!

He chose his birthday date lunch with mom and dad. His choice was BW3's! Random!
Came home to a package from Aunt Nina and Michael.
Another fabulous thing about Ethan. He LOVES Luke and is a great big brother. Holding Luke's hand walking into the dentist.

Ethan struggled with knowing the difference between his actual birthday and his birthday party day. In his eyes his party day was his birthday. So, he had to wait until the weekend to celebrate what he considered his birthday!
Ninja Turtle theme......
About as creative as this working momma got. Ninja fruit and veggie trays.
Our family is truly amazing when it comes to celebrating birthdays. It never fails that we have some member on either side making a HUGE jaunt to come. This year, Aunt Katie and cousin Drew made the flight to MN to come ring in the big 5! We were beyond thrilled when it all worked out for them to come!
Of course Luke and Drew got right at with the sports- Football first.

NINJA Ethan! He had masks, blowers, and even a pinata to share with his cousins. Kelby and Beau made the trip up, too. It is beyond fun with all these boys together!

 Beau in the mask

Luke never did figure out how to make this thing work. Pretty much just ate the cardboard.
Drew got it, and so did Kelby.
A quick snap of the calm before opening began.

That this wrapping was cute of Beau's writing.

All the grandparents were present and of course spoiled Ethan with presents!!

 Nerf Guns
It wasn't too easy to open gifts with 4 two year olds around! Should have gotten more of it on video than I did. It was wild.

 Games!
 Ninja Turtle Movie

Check out Drew's boots. They are Kelby's and he wouldn't take them off!

We got Ethan a BIG bike, got it on video, but no picture. Here is Drew giving it a whirl!
Luke liked being rewrapped by grandma!

The food spread along with Pizza, how easy and awesome that pizza is Ninja Turtles favorite food!
Love this photo of his cake, notice the only one belly up to the table to get a piece! haha

Big Dreams and Wishes being made......

One of the greatest thing about this kid, his SMILE!!!!

I cannot wait to recreate these photos some day! Shows off their personalities!
