We had a busy 4th, but we were in Mankato the WHOLE weekend, first time in I don't know how long! On Thursday I had some great friends from my old school, Saydel visit me. Kari and her son Hunter and Gayla. We had fun reminiscing, shopping and eating. I did learn I have a lot of work to do to child proof my house soon, Hunter was 1 and taught me tons! On Friday, Brad had some friends come visit for the night. Old college fraternity brothers, Brandon and Brett. Brandon, his wife TJ, brought their daughter who is just a few weeks older than Ethan. It was fun to see them interact together. We have realized that Ethan beats girls when it comes to weight and the girls beat him when it comes to flexibility! It seems all the girl babies we see can get their toes in their mouths and Ethan could care less about what a toe is and would rather eat cereal or drink milk! The actual 4th we went to our friends Neil and Jaci's (have I mentioned that they had a beautiful baby boy, Colin Ryan 2 weeks ago?) These kids will be best of friends just like the Johnke's are to us! Neil made a fantastic meal and we took off for the Mankato fireworks, watched them from the top of a parking ramp, that was a first for me! Here are a few pics of Ethan in in festive red, white, and blue. I think his uncles would be
proud of the 'country' look he was supporting!
Hope everyone else had a great Holiday weekend as well! God Bless the USA!
Some other happenings of Ethan lately are that he is eating cereal twice a day and loving it! I really do think he has figured out that when he gets put in his high chair the food is one its way!
Happy boy, little does he know he only has one more bite left!
Other fun things we do to pass the time are jump. He has now touched down with his legs and no more pillow underneath his jump-a-roo! But, we find it funny that he only likes to jump on 1 leg and just kick the other. Here is a video of our silly guy!We also love watching him suck his tumb for a good hour every morning in his crib. He never really cries in the morning to get him out, he just goes to town on that tumb and then after awhile I go in there and he is just smiling ready to start the day! I should take some lessons on how to wake up more happy like him!

That is so funny that he kicks one leg and bounces with the other - when I put him in that thing (accidentally backwards the first time) - he was not even interested in jumping...so crazy how the change so quick! Love him so much!
He is so cute, Wendy! I love to see photos of Sir Chunkiness :)
O Ethan-you are too cute! LOVE his
4th outfit!
